Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS: Long Term Test Review

@Crankpin: Lets be serious & practical when we pass such statements about riding pleasure when plastic bikes are involved because all the HHs and Hondas and other Pulsar competitors, that is what they are, trying to always suck as much economy out of the bike as possible and posing as refined machines. Atleast, Bajaj with its Pulsar range went where no other Indian or Jap bike manufacturer didnt dare to. No offense personally.Originally posted by crankpin View Post
its done, just youtube it, it passes the test with flying colours.Originally posted by chris_terror View PostLast edited by thumpmeister; 11-05-2012, 07:17 PM.

Hello, I own a P200NS too. I get vibrations from 6-7 k rpm in all gears. I get irritated by it. I have done, 1700 kms till now. Please help. I haven't changed any oil.

Guest repliedFirst This question should be in "Help me" or "Ownership Thread" rather than here!!Originally posted by sidvarma3289 View PostHi people , I have done around 1500 kms on this machine . I rode very carefully during the run in period , never crossed 60 kmph till the 1000 km mark . The engine felt a little rough and i assumed since it is a new bike it will smoothen out in sometime . During the first service i switched to Motul 15w50 fully synthetic engine oil . Gear shifts are super smooth but I am getting very heavy vibration from the engine which is felt all the way back to the grab rails between the 4500 - 5500 rpm mark . Below 4500 I can barely make out that the engine is running and above 5500 rpm it simple screams .. Anybody else experincing a similar problem . Shud I be concerned about this or will it smoothen out in due time ??
Second, why did you change the engine to Fully Synthetic so early??
Mostly if your bike is not recommended by Manufacturer as Fully synthetic then you should only use Fully synthetic after some 6-8K only. Mostly people start using it after 3rd Service.
As far as vibration is concern, It should not have vibration in 5500 -7000rpm atleast as this are mid power band and anything above 7k rpm is high power band where bike would reach to high power and speed!!
Get it checked by SVC. And if SVC don't recommend ful synthetic than you are in soup for your engine, because this will void your warranty!!

Ya colours are all good, and thus very confusing. U need to see the bike in flesh n then decide.About colour fading, its too early to tell.
For more details, look into the NS ownership thread.

Can you throw some light on the RPM at which 100 kmph comes up on the 6th gear.
