Great write up. At what rpm, does the rev-limiter kick in on this bike?

nice review... and superb pics... as usual..
speedo indicated 149 is good.
and even i noticed that brown tinge on the bike when i went for test ride..but didn't mention it on xbhp...
the week horn can be swapped with a P220 twin horns with a simple wiring mod...
during initial reviews, there was a talk that P200NS will come with MRF tyres as an option. but i don't think it is available as an option now in showrooms.

The only words i can say about this review is, while i was reading the review i felt it was me who was riding the bike and not MG. Very well done.
MG, as part of the testing excercise you might have got few insights into the future plans of Bajaj. Are there any tidbits which you are allowed/interested to share with us?

One will ride under 55 only in Run-in period with this bike.Originally posted by shravanchoudhary9 View Posti heard that if we ride the bike below 55 kmph then it will give milage of 58kmpl. but you said if we ride it without ripping then it will give around 35-40 same as p220
.
After that, I bet you can't ride under 55.
This is not a bike who's looking for mileage. It's power+looks+Pulsar.
40 is a heavenly mileage for this beast.
Even my XCD 135 gives 55 under mixed conditions... so triple the performance and mere 20 -25 km/l less is not an issue for me

Something pratical
Has the bike's underbelly exhaust test done like the KTM's? coz there is concern over the habitual street flooding in India's metro's!!

the black color of 200ns is actually coke/thumbs up/pepsi color ...

BAL tends to do something like that to its blacks, P220 carb also has a bluish tinge to the black which comes out under sunlight. The Fi black though was jet black.Originally posted by MG View PostI wonder if people have noticed this till now or not but the Black has a brown tinge in it and is clearly visible when kept under sunlight. Here is an example of what I'm talking about
More pictures of Pulsar 200NS will be posted in the coming weekend.

Elaborate, what king of riding pleasure you are talking about ??? I have ridden r15, honda unicorn and pulsar 150 and i was not able to spot any special riding pleasure offered by yamaha and honda.Originally posted by crankpin View PostRiding pleasure was something that all the pulsars lacked.

Nice write-up MG; however, my question (asked in the other first impressions thread as well) relating to the roll-on acceleration times, is still unanswered.
Also, I guess the test bikes had their front license plate on the bikini fairing. With the revised position (ahead of the headlamp), with the front forks on full compression, under hard braking, does it touch / scrape the front mudguard?Last edited by raja_ghuru; 06-22-2012, 11:03 AM.

+1 .. One should wait for some more time, check out if there are any issues , wait until they are sorted out and then buy this bike .Originally posted by crankpin View PostEngine seizing and busted valves are a serious issue if reported correctly. I guess until and unless workmanship and the quality of the product are not improved, no matter what Bajaj comes out with, it will still feel the same. All pulsars from the first Pulsar launched till the 220 had vibey engines, noisy gearboxes and bad part quality. Have these issues been sorted out correctly? Riding pleasure was something that all the pulsars lacked.
