re: KTM Duke 390 Review & first impression: xBhp Exclusive
As per reviews, 390 comes with little taller gears and 6th gear being overdrive. I am sure it will easily cruise at 120kmphOriginally posted by THE46FAN View PostAnother doubt...D390 figures on paper are awesome, cant imagine 44ps with 139kg of weight. Street riding will no doubt be fun. But how will it perform on highways? After all it's a single cylinder engine. Can it hold on to 3 digit speeds for long or will it feel stressed?

re: KTM Duke 390 Review & first impression: xBhp Exclusive
The restriction for 200 Duke is only in terms of rpm (not kph). That is 7000 rpm. I expect the 390 to have a similar (6500-7000 rpm) limit, since that redlines at 10000 rpm as well.Originally posted by chaosaddict View PostIf you're askin' bout' D390, I seriously doubt anyone's got any answer, as its launch is still due
. Unlike any other new bike, I am pretty sure it will have its own run-in period with restrictions on the speed.
About D200,,,, owners, please throw some light!!

Yea true. Lets see what the stores do when the bike gets launched.Originally posted by kochumvk View PostIt may not come through amazon here. probably our performance/riding gear shops will sell them once 390 is out. or else, owners can mass purchase from abroad.
official one will not be that effective
Bigger Tank would be a definite bonus though you can manage for the time being. But to do sustained high speeds, a wind screen would be essential.Originally posted by beruoist View PostA bigger tank may be...Or a touring version of it.390 looks quite tempting with that Price tag.Streets are going to get flooded with it

If the price is going to be north of 2L you dont have to worry about exclusivity. Maybe our xbhp meets will get flooded with them but not the streets.

To get either, you need someone in UK or US. That sucks!

My only wish for the bike is that KTM offers a windshield as an add on accessory.

I share your feelings. I am desperate for this since I sold my cbr 250r in March. Been 3 months now without a bike and I am going mad here. Bajaj keeps postponing the launch date with every month. I booked in April and since then not a single time the probiking guy has called me. Only me bothering him twice a week min. since 2 monthsOriginally posted by vidhya View PostI have been actively following this thread since it started
. I'm without a motorcycle for the past 3 months and desperately waiting to get this one.
....and I have been following all the tourer threads in XBHP for the past 1 year
and became member only 3 months ago...
