Exactly..speedo error. Bajaj themselves say that RS is the fastest pulsar yet, so AS can't have higher top speed.. And RS's true top speed is NOT more than 140-141 max. So basically, AS is anywhere in 130s where it realistically tops out.

Well i ts hard to judge that way.I mean that way even the RS has speedo error. The only bike I know that has true speedo count is the 220fi.Besides AS is carburated,so practically can be possible to achieve higher speed that RS if properly tuned for performance (And less weight than RS by some good 12+KGS)correct me if my logic is wrong though!

Hero's ZMR has been known to have the least speedo error to date (at least the last gen ZMR). We aren't talking about retuning the bike for performance, we are talking about their true top speed as they come out from the factory. And RS is the fastest pulsar yet. Even Bajaj says it, they made both the bikes and they know better than anybody of what AS and RS are capable of in stock settings. Even RS can be modified/retuned for higher topspeed.

That will cost you a bomb. Modifying the ECU costs a lot with a void warranty but with his 200 you can easily tune it according to your need anytime anyplace anywhere without costing anything

We aren't discussing which is more/less expensive to modify to go faster. We are discussing which is the fastest pulsar yet in stock form, and that is the RS200. Period. The company says it. Doesn't matter if you can mod NS/AS 200 to go faster. We are talking about being fastest right out of the factory.

Oh OK.although most people would change the carb settings after some kilometers but still your point holds good in stock form....

So how does it compare to the NS200. i notice Old Fox mentioned that the gearing is different what effect does that have
Anything else that they have put other than the faring to give it the name "Adventure" as compare to NC
I ask as i plan to switch from my 2007 P220FI to either NS or AS and its been confusing.

Which has the same or similar riding stance as the P220 ?

any thoughts anyone give a city/highway mixed riding.

In short the 220 basically fails in almost all departments.you need to ride 200 to know it.
I have never seen an engine so awesome as this where at even 100 u don't feel a tinge of vibes.its that awesome .

And that makes you the perfect guy to put all my questions to.

Which do you think would be a better touring machine: P180, As150, Gixxer or Unicorn 160?

You should try something higher, maybe a quarter liter or sub half liter bike say 250, 300cc. Coming from a P220, you won't find better performance, though modern 200 pulsars are faster, quicker, good handling, brakes, etc than old P220, but the upgrade is not better, I'd say.

That is what we call a proper upgrade.

AS150 here is the best machine of the lot for touring. I would change sprocket later to make gearing taller.

Any day, a low reving engine is good for touring. It keeps everything at minimal. P150 as is good but bad on torque where unicorn has taller gears and makes good torque better than gixxer.

Anyday a torqueier bike gives you good times on long rides.

As150 needs to rev more to extract juice which unicorn does easily
