Yes already gone through this thread and only then I decided on going for Pulser 135 LS. Am satisfied if it is not the same XCD 135. Just wanted to build up confidence before I book. Thanks !!!

Well, you can't say that friend of you was speaking crap. Just that he has misunderstood. The Pulsar 135 was initially developed under the name, 'XCD Sprint' but the Bajaj marketing knew that wont work from the failure of other XCD variants, so renamed it Pulsar 135, thereby taking advantage of the Pulsar brand name. As you can see, that trick worked out well.

PS : I didnt, in any manner, mean to say Pulsar 135 is a lesser bike in any sense. Its a wonderful machine with enogh punch to keep up with most 150 ccs. No hard feeling to any one.

To those planning to buy one - Go ahead, eyes closed. This bike wont let you down.

If possible try to ride(rip) P135 and xcd 135 side by side and then u will know what is the difference between 2 valve engine and a 4 valve engine

The P135LS got a mild styling revision sometime last year. I'm surprised that it hasn't come up at all in this discussion. Now it comes with and all-black theme for the lower body, and a similar tyre hugger to the P150, combined wit an FZ-like guard at the rear swingarm pivot.

BTW, Yamaha's new SZ-R is in the same price range. How do they compare? Has anyone ridden both?

Thanks all of you guys for the inputs and suggestions. I have booked pulsar 135 Red today. Am expecting the delivery tomorrow evening or Saturday.

I have a 2 quick questions...
1. Immediately after taking the delivery i am planning to replace the stock tyres with Tubeless Tyres. Could someone suggest me what tyre is best for this pulsar machine. I am not technically sound with bikes, so it wuld be very benificial if some one could help me. I read some where (not sure where i read) MRF softgrip tubless is the best for Plusar 135, but am not able to recollect the name and the tyre size. Could some one shed more light on this please ????
2. Also can I exchange the stock tyres for the New MRF Tubeless tyres in chennai? If yes where can i do it...?

the same decision i was about to make about the tyres but couldnt because the bajaj guys couldnt exchange them then...and later before i could find any dealer to exchange them i had already completed 4500kms

about the tubeless ones there is a lot discussed back here...mainly about its advantages...but i would like to point out about the tubed ones...the stock eurogrip ones that i currently have...they havnt had a single puncture for all the 7500kms they have run despite of continuous touring and offroading....(i hope i dont get a puncture as soon as i say that

)

for the tubeless...the mrf zapper,pirelli sport demon are good...not sure about the michelins....

well, am planning to buy this dame... needs one info...
Though i will b riding it alone most of the times, on a few occassion i may need to carry a pillion (lady-saree wearing).. will it be comfortable for such pillion?

well to be frank...yes its comfortable but would be a problem for the pillion to get on the rear seat as its a bit higher than the other bikes...girls or for that matter even some guys have hurt their legs while getting down from the pillion seat...but that is just once in a while...

Hey guys...a big thank you to all u guys !!!! I am now the proud owner of a pulsar 135 LS. Its been 10 days...(no net all these days) and i've covered 460 km. Everything's picture perfect. More updates after the 1st service.

Hi Guys.. Yet another try to give life to the dead thread.

I have been off XBHP and my Pulsar 135 for almost 7 Months since I am glued to my New Fiat Punto 90 HP. I am planning to sell the pulsar. Emotionally a tough decision, but I could'nt see the bike parked idle all the weekdays and getting some run ( 10 - 15 kms) on the weekends just for getting some run. Also selling off would get me some Vitamin M. I already have a Star City parked idle for almost same time which is more emotionally attached to me which I would not sell at any cost. So i dont this bike to have the same fate. My 135 LS is 1 Year old and 5500 KMS on the ODO. What would be the best asking price for it ? Could some one shed some light on this.
