After reading what happened it makes me mad with rage at these corrupt officers who are in charge of these roads etc. What the hell do we pay tax for? For quality Infrastructure, and what do we get? these sort of shit roads because 80% of the amount sanctioned for such projects is "gobbled up" by corrupt, shameless people!!!

Again, God give his dear ones the courage to withstand the great loss...

Went through the entire Kolkata G2G thread right from Jai's last post!! Shook the deepest fathomable grief and anger in my heart. Such a wonderful personality lost to such blasphemish act of government. The sad part is, it's not only Kolkata, it's all over India.

I bet if anyone goes and grabs the guts of any concerned official and demands a reason for those pot holes, the blame is gonna come on the bikers only, without any sign of remorse.

Tears roll down as I write this. This loss was never meant to happen.

My deepest condolences to the family. Some voids can never be bridged, but at least they can be hidden with the blanket of memories.

19th september 2010, cant forget that incident for rest of my life. we had gone upto city center for a casual ride. it was a free ride and were on our way back. suddenly for some stretch there were no street lights and it was pitch dark. then i was surprised to see a big big ditch right in the middle of the road and before i could take enough measures i hit the ditch. i hit it so hard that i fell of my bike. me and my bike went sliding on the road. then i got up because i realised there was traffic behind me. when i got up and looked back i was shocked to see Jai lying on the road. i realised jai had also hit the same ditch. i rushed to jai and took out his helmet. he was bleeding from his nose. i tried to talk to jai..i said "jai uth yaar..please get up man..please"..he never replied..i knew matter was seriuos..i tried to stop the cars that were coming our way.some of them stopped just to see what had happened and not to help us.then i called up mach50 and told that we had a crash and jai is serious. then a red maruti 800 stopped and asked "kya hua hai bhaisahab". i said "accident hua hai". he parked his car near to jai and with the help of 3-4 other guys we carried jai to the car.i kept on shouting"cmon jai get up yaar..talk to me".That angel (rahul) who had stopped to help us was with his family.when we put jai on his car's back seat his child panicked and started crying like anything.still that man braved everything and started on his way to the hospital.they told me they will be taking jai to apollo. i stayed back and waited for mach50 and ns2115 to arrive so that we could get to jai on their bikes. in the mean time i picked up both mine and jai's bikes and rolled them to side of the road and parked them there so that no one else gets banged into them as it was pitch dark. then mach50 arrived and we started. Rahul's wife kept on calling me if we were coming and i said yes we are already on our way.then she said they could not find apollo and are taking him to anandlok.we headed towards anandlok.next call came and she told they dint accept jai at anandlok and they were moving to Columbia Asia.
when we reached columbia asia doctors were attending jai and after some time they transfered him to ICU..
mach50 informed jai's parents and did all the hospital formalities..in the mean while he also took care of me as i was being treated for my injuries. some time later more of our xbhp friends came and it was heartening to see so many guys rushing in to help us at that time of the night.thanx bros for all the support.

i cant take jai's smiling face out of my eyes and the accident scenes keep haunting me time and again. I really had a believe that jai would get up one day and we will again have a nice time together. but what i dint know was that god is so cruel and capable of doing such things after which you wonder "does that thing called god really exist". if you ask me today the answer would be NO..

@ Mandeep i am totaly with u man....at times its realy hard to believe if really God exists....really very sorry about Jai bro...

Reading all this brings tears to my eyes again n again ....... Its a great loss buddy ....... Can't even imagine how the situation must be ....... Kudos to you for being with him and taking his care even when u were so badly injured bro ...... such incidents put to test our instinctive qualities and brings out the real human within us !! ........ Man its disheartening to lose a friend and co-rider .... Its worse than a nightmare ... God has his own plans I guess ...... may be he has a better life to offer Jai .... And somethings will always be out of our reach bro ....... Lets only pray that his family copes up with this disaster as soon as possible !!

Could some one (preferably from medicine field) explain/cite out as to why Jai was not admitted to two hospitals? On what grounds?
'We are full' is the lamest excuse one can dish out.

Its very disheartening to read all this.
