I would rate Casio G-Shock as most VFM.
      Reasons:
      1. Non reflective dial
      2. Shock resistant
      3. Scratch resistant
      4. Water resistant (200m)
      5. Timer, stopwatch, alarm etc.
      6. E data memory for saving ATM passwords etc.
      7. Night light-when you turn your wrist, the dial lights up on its own-very useful for night riding.
      8. 10 year battery life
      9. Strap doesn't tear easily even though its not leather
      10. Rust proof

So does anyone have any specific watches in mind, or that they own, and would like us all to know about?

                These are mine.
I bought the white dial Casio as I lost the G-Shock, but after a month, it was found under couch.

I would love to have one of those fancy Hi-tech CASIO watches. Considering the fact, I might have worn the watches I have a few times in the past decade or atleast 7 odd years, it might never happen. Always been a need based shopper so it might never happen!

A lot of folks i know stopped wearing watches once they started with their mobile phones, it was gradual but a lot left their watches behind. The Rolex kind never left them behind though!

                          • My beater watch/daily wear is my Seiko Orange Monster Dive watch, Stainless bracelet with diver extension. I use it when I go scuba diving, Orange face, Crazy bright lume, Great watch, my all time favorite. I bought the silicone strap but prefer the SS bracelet.

I also have G Shock Mudman, I use this for work on offshore and landbased oil rigs, Only thing I don't like are the buttons are very hard to press.

Casio Pro Trek ABC watch, Titanium model, I've pulled appart and havn't bothered to reassemble.

Seiko Sportura with chronograph. This is my 2nd fav watch, I've had to replace the capacitor as it stopped holding the charge but still a nice "chunky" watch.

                            Omega Speedmaster Automatic.
The moonwatch (baby) This one I don't wear anymore, Its too small and (I feel) delicate to be wearing

I have a couple other G Shocks but they have broken straps and flat batteries.

If I don't wear a watch I feel naked. Heavy Automatic wrist watch's are definitely needed.
