    Few inputs.

    - Keep the engine centered around the rear as far as possible. ( Dunno how will you achieve that ). this will help re-design the front end for future modifications. Since right now i feel the front track width and wheelbase is excessive.

    - Ground clearance is also a factor to consider. If you have made it broader to ensure it doesnt topple over then its different.

    - The brake can be actuated by a cable pulling on the actuator. Keep the hydraulic actuator, reservoir and hose. Connect the actuator in the opposite direction to the brake lever, so when you press on it, it pulls the actuator inward, activating the brake.

    - Go for a Ki-Honda engine, which should have more grunt to power the entire assembly. Also consider a custom exhaust ( slightly more Free flow ), otherwise the exhaust assembly will get extremely hot.

one more thing i noticed is --what is your plan to transfer power from engine to wheel.? coz right now, i dont' see any place for some things that might be neccessary.
The vehicle will be chain driven, the engine will be mounted on the rear chassis part as you see in the pictures

By seniors I meant seniors on my college

Yeah,I am doing the same for the braking system, still finding the engine.
The distance between the front wheels has been reduced quite a bit around 4-5"(dont remember the exact figure)

Lets see what kind of engine i get, will see if i can make an exhaust by myself.

Will surely keep that in mind to keep the engine centered.

here's the latest pic of the "khatara" we are making

The turning radius is around 5-6 mtrs (guess)
Is that too much for it?
      Its around 2 mtrs long

TBH, the rear swing arm mounting does not look strong enough. It could snap in half over a bad bump. Or could be prone to cracking. Better to use a dedicated swingarm like that of a Pulsar ( got awesome width for wide tyres ), and the oval box section makes it stiffer as well.

Else make the brackets bigger and stronger. You will be mounting the engine on the rear frame right???

But all in all, great job. The front steering does look good, though then length from the front steering hub to the wheel is too much IMO, It will affect your turning radius, since the tyres will simply turn about an arc, when you turn the steering to one side, rather than turning about a vertical axis thru them.

If you can bring the tyre closer to the hub, it will improve the steering, handling, and turning ability of the cart.

Well three of us were jumping on the vehicle to see if any weld breaks or not and surprisingly when another guy joined us nothing happened, thats >200 kgs,the shock absorbers were shocked

I know dynamicallyit will be different, but still!

well the engine will be mounted there, and if there is any problem regarding the rear chassis part, then we will change that,if we install the swingarm of Pulsar,it'll add up to the cost which we cant afford now,we want to keep the cost as minimum as we can, spent about 11k till now.

I know that the excessive length of the spindle arm will add up to the turning radius of the vehicle, but when we were riding it(guys pulling the cart) the turning radius was about 5-6 mtrs,is that too bad?

I was thinking about chopping off the excess, but havent done it yet, will install the engine and will see if its required or not.

TBH, the making of the spindle was purely was on the basis of gut feeling,so after making it,we changed it and I guess we have to change it again.we passed 1st year now in 2nd year and honestly dont have much technical knowledge or practical experience,we ourselves have made the whole blueprint of the cart, made it by our own hands(except welding of the chassis)
No help from teachers, seniors but internet!

We have a budget of 15k,can increase it, but our goal is/was

            1.Should be light weight
            2.Even a layman can make it,maintain it.
            3.Mileage will be maximum
            4.Can carry load
            5.Can be Raced
            6.Should be Cheap

nice project for a first try,
i dont know what engine you will be using, what speeds you are lookin for, but that front end looks more like a nightmare, try to make the area marked in red short and as compact as possible,
                        sorry if i sounded rude,

                            fabrication needs too much patience,time.

too much body work will be involved in it,need many tools and time and material, which we lack now,as our college vacations are over.

Thanks, any other suggestion from you?what should I do if the vehicle is tipping over at sharp turns?decrease the wheelbase? do cornering like we do on a bike?

Here's the pic of the vehicle with the driver onboard,I guess I will have to move the shockers closer to the cockpit as the engine will add upto the weight
