Correct.. They could have done the post traumatic stress disorder thing more carefully.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

And did you also notice? That post traumatic was only mentioned & no real scenes.

Add to that there were several loose strings...
      - They never handled Cassie (Wife of Private who was killed by Tobey) properly; they could've simply ignored that character. They bought the character to stress emotional on the movie, but it was not handled properly
      - What happens to Tommy? They bought another character stating it was Tommy's friend who happened meet 1 hour ago, it would've been appropriate if they connected both of them. Neither it was done or Tommy was handled properly in the end
      - Tobey's arrest by local police was complete mess; it was left to our imagination as how many days/hours he was in prison or what really happened etc. They could've handled the situation as Tommy receiving Tobey from prison in the end, would've been more dramatic

There's hardly any "A" class audience movies these days. So I almost don't watch any of them but for A class.
Well i agree to that but not @99%!!
        Few films like --
        Bhejha Fry
        Jab we met
        3Idiots
        Life in a metro
        ZNMD
are always worth your time. Will try to put more on the list later

You don't have to; read my post once again; I said, there're 1% of the movies in A category which I mostly watch

Have watched both of them & I certainly agree, they're good ones. This is what I meant by A class audience movies

            • @Argee,
I sat down and thought of few more GOOD Hindi films, as promised.
However, even after hard thinking, I could'nt add much to my list.
Guess your 99% quote was quite correct.
However, putting down the list apart from those already mentioned earlier:-
              Dil chahata hai
lage raho Munna Bhai, Part -1 & 2
              Tare Zammen par
              Hera Pheri (Only part 1)
              Golmaal (Only part 1)
              Guru
              Black
Only this much as of now.

BTW, altough this is OT, but I would like to mention here about a TV series - Dexter.(about a serial killer who kills other serial killers)
I can vouch that if one sees the 1st two episodes, he is bound to get addicted to the series. The series has already compleated 6 seasons, and season 7&8 is on floor.
              Its a must watch!!

Its nothing guess; India makes anything & everything, but worst in quality; same is reflected in the movies too (hope it will change in the future); lots of movies, nothing good

Have watched all the above; all these are good ones; Dil Chahtha Hai is my all time fav movie. If there's one Hindi movie that I've watched over several times, then this is the one.

Ashok - All the movies you mentioned are good ones & are in my watchlist

                  • Watched Buenos Aires, 1977 (2006) - IMDb yesterday; a movie based on true story & was kind of so-so. I was expecting too much violence & blood shed, but I think they were cut (or may not) for TV screen. But it chills to know such things really happened. Watching such movies makes me feel corruption in India is still far better!!!

Just started watching I Am Sam (2001) - IMDb & I immediately could recall about this movie Deiva Thirumagan by Vikram. Damn Tamil Cinema!!! Copy cats!!!

Notebook is not that kind of romantic movie, though ppl say its romantic; I find that girl is more of *****y as she's torn up between who to choose. I quite didn't find that movie so interesting.

IMHO, there're better romantic movies; I can easily recall Ghost & PS - I Love You (though a little dramatic & unrealistic)

I Am Sam (2001) - IMDb is ONE awesome movie; would rate about 8/10. Its a MUST watch; Wife had watched the Tamil version & says it has not so happy ending, but, this one has a happy & win-win ending for all

22 Bullets (2010) - IMDb is kind of so-so mob movie, good for one time watch - 6.5/10

                        • Watched few movies in the last week; quite memorable ones were...

Ocean's Eleven (2001) - IMDb - Excellent plot; all major actors, Bradd Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts; story of robbing $160 million from a super secured Casino. Yet to watch thirteens, but Twelve was not as good as Eleven - 8/10

City Lights (1931) - IMDb - The movie is a must watch for Chaplin fans; little touching with usual humor as how the Tramp struggles to help a blind lady get her eyes - 9/10

The Pilgrim (1923) - IMDb - No words to describe this 89 years old movie; so amazing that it still that yester years of simple no dialog comedy still rocks than today's most vulgar ones - 8.5/10

The Idle Class (1921) - IMDb - Again, no words to describe this 90 year old movie; its a must watch - 7/10

The Secret of Moonacre (2008) - IMDb - Very nice fantasy family movie, mostly for kids, yet good for one time watch - 6/10

Departures (2008) - IMDb - Simple story of how a man changes his profession from cell player to funeral preparation & the difficulties he encounters - 7.5/10

Setup (2011) - IMDb - The plot of the movie was really good that tempted me to watch; the movie was so crap that at a stage, I couldn't identify why such characters are being bought & couldn't understand where they jumped out of no where. Bruce Willis is utter wasted character. Please refrain from watching this move - 2/10
