  • Something stupid at 00:30!

It was a monday night ended up with work at 00:30!
pushed the button start for the bike(p220).
Already was little dicey if the petrol was there or not.
    200 meters & then burrrrp....burrrp!
bike stopped! gave 6-7 starts, nothing happend!
    whom should i call?
Anyways wasn't feeling sleepy, so started pushing the bike.pushed it hard till the last sweat dropped(3.4 kms).
Reached home, put the bike on main stand. While removing the keys, saw had put the petrol lock on "on" mode instead of "reserve" mode!

    • Trying to wear the seatbelt when i am on my bike... many a times when i start my bike my left hand directly reaches over my shoulder to grab the seat belt....
Once i was at a Red light signal, my bag has this strap on thing which is there on the shoulder strap...and i was pulling it hard so that it should come out and fir like a seat belt... there was a car behind me which started honking and i ( as if i am in a car ) turned up my head and looked for the rear view mirror... it was then i realized that i am on my bike

      • One month before, I was going to market for some shopping in my father's bike as my bike was out of fuel that day! I grabbed the key, started the bike and then turned the throttle. What the heck, the bike is not moving, except the real wheel is burning! I slightly revved the engine and then the front wheel moved skidding!!
Then I get out off the bike, and saw, I forgot to remove the disk lock!
        Idiot me!

        • Some from my end

This an incident hapenned with my friends during our college days.

Friend1 saw Friend2 standing for State Transport bus as it was exam days. College was around 60 Kms from there.

          Friend1: Want lift?
Friend2: Yes why not.....but let me drive for sometime.

Friend1 was not aware of his driving skills but as they were good friends allowed him to drive his Passion+.

After watching the dangerous driving skills of friend2.....friend1 took his bike back and asked friend2 to be his pillion.

Friend2 kept his leg on the bike's exhaust instead of foot rests. After an hour they reached college.

Friend2: Hey I cant remove my log...its stuck to your silencer (read exhaust).
Friend1: Why did the hell you kept your leg there.

          Friend2: My show is stuck.
Friend1: Your rubber sole is stuck to my exhaust.

Friend2 pulled out his leg with the shoe still stuck to the exhaust. Friend1 brought knife from a store removed the shoe without the sole from the exhaust.

It took 2 hours and permanent mark on the exhaust to remove that stuck shoe sole and some markings are still present there.

                  • Happened with my brother and me...

It was dusk time when my brother showed some curiosity to eat somewhere outside... So we zoomed off on his bike to the nearest place where we could get something nice to eat...I riding and my bro as a pillion, reached the place....My brother got off the bike...no sooner did I start getting off the bike than my bro shouted to start the bike....I dint understand what was the problem with him...
I turned back to see what was the matter with him....And I saw his right leg tangled in the sari of a woman and the sari almost off the woman's upper body...what happened was, when he was getting off the bike..the woman was passing by and his leg somehow got tangled in her sari.. We had to make a run as the woman started shouting on the peak of her voice...

                      • Wow what a thread!!!
Kept me awake all the day in borring office...specially Niranjan

A lot of guys including me have tried to scratch their head above there lid, I went a step further and tried to put my brand new oakley sunglasses above my lid . A lil tuk.. sound and it broke right from the middle!!!

Me n my friend in Puri-Konark road @ night 1AM in my cd100 in 80+ speed:
My friend was talking to someone on phone.

Me: Hey see...1 deer jumped across the road
Another guy in a YBX125 without HL following my CD100's pathetic lamps shouted: Hey Boi, stopppp!
Suddenly another deer jumped from no where right in between me n my pillion...me ..the poor cd100...my pillion and the deer all were rolling on road
My pillion on phone: Dude..I m sitting on a dear

We had to ride for another 10 kms without any light in that marine drive road.

In the same road...after I recovered a little:
All the sooper powerful splendors...Rx100's and 1st gen pulsies smoked me n left , I was in full throttle and was riding 80+ with another pillion.

Suddenly on a bridge I felt like I ran over something/someone and heard screams of one of my friend.I was shit scared and was shiverring...I gave the bike to my pillion who has a visibility of -5 n -6 in both eyes.
Reached college and broke into tears!!!

After 15 mins the other friend came in his broken splendor and was bruised all over the body and started shouting at me.

Dude ...we hit a doggie n crashed.Somehow moved the bike to one side of the road and the injured dog was just limping. You came from no where and ran over the dog n flew.Poor dog died on the spot!!!

                        • It was monsoon season in Mumbai.
My friends had invited me for a casual meet.
I had to go from Sion to Andheri taking the Western Express Highway on my Discover.

It was not raining so i decided to keep my raincoat in my studds luggage compartment. ( Dickie )

After reaching Bandra signal it started raining cats and dogs.
I pulled towards the side for wearing my DuckBack.

As soon as i was ready to go i started getting calls from my friends, as i was already running late.
I answered the call and in a moment of haste switched on the ignition and drove.

As i was already late i switched over to the fast lane and had touched 80Km/hr.
Here the bike began to lose power. The RPM started to decline.
For a moment i thought that it must be the fuel tap which must not be switched to ON position.
So i reached out for my fuel tap.

To my horror the key wasn't there.

                          The problem was that :
Both my studds dickie and my fuel tap's key were attached to the same keychain.
The key was still inserted in the studds lock.

I saw in my RVM the cars were comming in a great speed.
Without thinking any further i reached out for my key, removed it and inserted it into the fuel tap.
In this process the speed had gone down to 30Km/hr.
I thank God nothing went terribly wrong.
I hate being a pillion, iff the rider is senseless.

                          • I have a couple to add ... Both happened on the same day , which was when my bike was just about a week old ... Had taken it to college for the first time .

                            Incident 1 :

My friend wanted to try and impress some girls in college , so he wants to ride , the bike was in the parking lot so i gave him the key and left as I didn't want to poop on his parade ... *20 minutes later*

                            Friend : " Dude your friggin bike won't start man !!! "
                            Me : "what???"
Friend : " Yeah the Starter ain't working and dude where's the kick ????? "

Now I was panicking , bike is hardly a week old . So I rush in to check and I thumbed the starter ... and no crank . wondering what's wrong as i had a full tank as fuel , remembered about the fuel tap ... it was at OFF ... switched it ON and tried and voila ! we had ignition , gave the dude a whack on his head for scaring me ... and to add insult to injury , the chicks were ROTFL'in ...

                            Incident 2 :

My HOD sees the dude taking the bike and stops him and wants a test ride ... Now I seriously doubt his skills and run to try and stop him but he's already gone ... I stand there watching him with anxiety ... And saw him turn around and then I burst out laughing ... why ??? Because the guy apparently didn't know how to use a toe-shift . He was using his heel ... he put his foot in front of the lever and used his heel to shift up ... ... he comes back and says it's really difficult to use the bike because of the shift mechanism . I show him the way to do it and that reaction from him was PRICELESS ...
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

                            • Really got to share with you guys this.

Day before yesterday started from office at around 8 PM. It was raining heavily. But that never stops me. Fuel is low so i know i need to refill. Bunk is some 12 kms away from office on my way home. So was riding in rain happily. Traffic was extreme due to rain.

Reached the bunk, filled up the tank and started. Within a km found that the temperature meter is full showing excess heat, but the overheat symbol was not blinking(Normally when the meter is full, this should start blinking).

I started wondering what happened now, because my bike does not get heated up nowadays.. Even this time I cant feel the heat but the marker shows high.

So started riding at constant speed(even though slow) to see whether this comes down. But did not happen. So parked my bike on the side of the road and thought of waiting for a while for the heat to come down. Was raining heavily and I was standing for at-least 10 mins.

Then keyed-in and was waiting for the marker to display the temperature now. It was slowly climbing to the top and reached full again. I was shocked. The bike is not even started. And it has got 10 mins of rest and still temperature is at the highest. Checked for radiator and found it was working. couldnt find the issue. So thought that I am not gonna wait here and ride home.

So started the bike and rode steadily, feeling bad within myself. Then suddenly something popped up in my mind....

Which meter am I looking at.. Oh shxt! I was looking at the fuel indicator for so long and mistook it for the temperature gauge. Temperature meter is showing just 2 bars.. That was complete stupidity
Had a laugh and went home. Sigh of relief!!

Sorry for wasting your time(making you read this) as well guys.. But thought of sharing this funny incident with you all..
