  • Music systems. (headset, home theatre, sound systems etc etc)

Am sure there are many music aficionados among us and this thread will help them (i dint find any other thread dedicated to music systems.)

    Well I've two questions,

    1. Am looking for a good in-ear headset (for noise cancellation) for my mobile phone. A mic would be a plus point but am looking for good sound quality first.

    2. am currently using some stupid computer speakers and ready to upgrade. Due to lack of space am gonna stick with a 2.1 system. Any suggestions? Again am looking for good sound quality.

    Thank you for your inputs.
    Regardless, Life shall go on.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

        Weird Music Player Problem

Was very much looking for this thread..

I have a ReWritable CD which is like 3-4yrs old. Altough was not used for Quite a long time, yesterday I erased it and Burned it with new set of MP3 songs. Now the problem is the CD is working fine on my LAppy, but when I'm inserting it to the Philips Music player, it is not recognizing the CD.
The music Player lens is fine coz it is playing other CDs. The music player can play ACD, VCD, MP3 but not DVD.

I tried buning the RW cd as a Audio CD but to no avail.
I took the cd to play on my Cousin's DVD player, and it worked fine there.

Can Anyone say whats the Problem here??
        Thanks in Advance

Is your player old? Cause certain formats it may not read. Same thing happens to nine

Yes buddy, it's like 10 years old. But earlier I could read the RW cds. It still can play ACDs, and MP3, but from original cds.

I tried Burninh the RW in both mp3 and Audio CD format, but no avail.

Dats the prob.. Ten yrs old? It could be an antique. In those ages there was something called region. R+ and R-. I dunno exactly about that but i guess thats the problem. Since the R + and - are nit there now the player is unable to read the songs transfered from your lappy

But do u think If i burn the cd by a Old software (say Nero 6), then it might work??

Like abhi said it could be cause of R+ or R-. Also i read somewhere that music players can only read a RW cd so many times. And also your system is 10yrs old !!

noise isolation is very good, had actually considered these panasonic ones but bought these because the reviews were very good and i wanted a L type headphone jack

Then just go for creative. Do not think more. But am not sure about the different models available. But quality is best

Home Theatre : Using Creative SBS 580 5.1 Speaker System + Creative Sound Blaster Sound Card from 5 years .

Headphones/ Headsets : Used various Nokia Headphones , Aiwa , Philips , Max etc .
But i don't like them to use contineously as they fit in ear & ear feels pain due to them after around some 20/30 minits use.
So last week buyed Panasonic RP HT030E-H Headphone from flipkart .
                              Panasonic RP-HT030E-H Headphone | Headphone | Flipkart.com ( Note that it don't have microphone )
Because they are easy on ear , foldable , yes easy to hang on shirt like googels .
Sound quality found to be good ( but not good compared to Creative Home Theaters )

Next time will buy something like this Philips SHP1900 Headphone | Headphone | Flipkart.com or Bluetooth one like Nokia BH505 or BH905i .
