Hi, I have been using a creative 4.1 for the last few years. Now, I need some more punch. So, searched a lot and found out that AV receivers are very expensive. After some research online, I found that a car amp with speakers and subwoofer will be a better replacement. You can use the computer power supply to power it. For Rs15k you will get a very good spec system. What do you think? Will there be any major disadvantage with this setup?Love the ride, not the destination

for your second one I would say Yamaha any day above onkyo or any other brand but go for wooden speakers.Originally posted by yellowspunk View PostAm sure there are many music aficionados among us and this thread will help them (i dint find any other thread dedicated to music systems.)
Well I've two questions,
1. Am looking for a good in-ear headset (for noise cancellation) for my mobile phone. A mic would be a plus point but am looking for good sound quality first.
2. am currently using some stupid computer speakers and ready to upgrade. Due to lack of space am gonna stick with a 2.1 system. Any suggestions? Again am looking for good sound quality.
Thank you for your inputs.

2. 2.1 PC speaker - Creative gigaworks T3, Altec lansing MX6021, Audio engine A5.
panasonic also got good reviews and more reviewsOriginally posted by revvhard View Postnoise isolation is very good, had actually considered these panasonic ones but bought these because the reviews were very good and i wanted a L type headphone jack

I wouldnt agree i was under the same impression until my last creative headset, there lemons in every brand.Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostThen just go for creative. Do not think more. But am not sure about the different models available. But quality is best
am looking for a 2.1 system and a in-ear headset but thanks !Originally posted by Above_All View PostHome Theatre : Using Creative SBS 580 5.1 Speaker System + Creative Sound Blaster Sound Card from 5 years .
Headphones/ Headsets : Used various Nokia Headphones , Aiwa , Philips , Max etc .
But i don't like them to use contineously as they fit in ear & ear feels pain due to them after around some 20/30 minits use.
So last week buyed Panasonic RP HT030E-H Headphone from flipkart .
Panasonic RP-HT030E-H Headphone | Headphone | Flipkart.com ( Note that it don't have microphone )
Because they are easy on ear , foldable , yes easy to hang on shirt like googels .
Sound quality found to be good ( but not good compared to Creative Home Theaters
)
Next time will buy something like this Philips SHP1900 Headphone | Headphone | Flipkart.com or Bluetooth one like Nokia BH505 or BH905i .
am finding it tough to stretch my budget beyond 5k but am sure bose is awesome. but cant shell 15k right now.Originally posted by aargee View PostYS - This is the best money can buy -

hahaha.. onkyo costs lik 20k and more dude.. yamaha would be much more costlier i guess. but thanks for your suggestion. in my budget not many speakers come in wood. i think iball comes in wood but even that is wood pulp and not wood.Originally posted by oilburner View Postfor your second one I would say Yamaha any day above onkyo or any other brand but go for wooden speakers.Last edited by yellowspunk; 09-03-2012, 01:03 AM.Regardless, Life shall go on.

Are they inear? I would prefer in-ear as ear shape does not allow me to use regular earbuds.Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostI am using panasonic. Lol, funny you should say that because the reason i'm buying new earphones is because i broke my ep630. i tend to break my earphones very soon and have gone through several onesOriginally posted by Srinivas sr143sr View PostI have Creative EP 630 earphones. I was searching for a very high quality headphones. I went and checked out this site Head-Fi.org - Headphone forums and reviews for audiophiles .
I found that a whole new world of headphones/earphones exists out there. I got Audio-Technica CKS 77 , a Japanese brand. And they are simply the best headphones i have ever bought. Sounds like a big hi-fi audio system is playing inside my ears. The bass is out of this world. Like a big subwoofer. Though they are expensive at Rs. 5k. But I wanted very high quality headphones. Enough of Sony, Phillips, Panasonic, sennheisers and skullcandy.
