Re: What's your Stress Buster ?

Earlier i thought Dota2 was my stress buster, but when I realized that it makes me even more stressed when I am matched with total noobs, I switched over to PUBG where I can play solo.

PS: My first ever post on this 'xtremely' amazing website. Loving every bit of the extensive reading!

Physical exercises mostly help me with reducing stress. It can involve going to a gym, or just exercising on fresh air with a kettlebell. Meditation and mindfulness are also great for fighting stress and anxiety. Like many people in the community, I also hang out with friends on weekends, what is a great stress buster too.

Playing with dogs is best stress buster for me.

Going for long rides, playing video games no longer works as a stress buster, maybe i finally grew up.
There is no destination, I just want to keep riding.

A few things help me deal with day to day stress

          1. Take a random leave during a workday and go on a ride. Just did that today in fact. [emoji16] Got an early start on the weekend and went for a 200km+ ride on nearly empty roads and a sky filled with clouds.
          2. Music. I have my playlists setup on Spotify and have Led Zep and their peers blasting away. In fact, I need music even when I work; it's a very important part of my life.
          3. Playing with my pet (a 3 year old rescued feline) always a great stress buster.

Re: What's your Stress Buster ?

Stress is usually and mostly socially driven. "Man is condemned to be free" said Sartre. And he is condemned to be social today too. Be it friends, family, relatives or foe. Be it job, aspirations, dreams, hopes, desires, whatever. Stress comes at a cheap but leaves at a big cost. Often oneself.

So, often the cure is not giving a rat's ass about anything for a day or two, or forever, thats subjective, and live it to the fullest. Stressfree !! Not a popular opinion but a subtle art to many. [emoji16]

Re: What's your Stress Buster ?

              Nice question.

On stressful days, I usually take out my passion pro and go for a short spin around my locality in the night. This slow ride is Very peaceful for me. It's the beauty of these commuter bikes.

              Other ways-

              • Exploiting the thrilling top end of a rx135 5speed and suzuki shogun on an open highway during friends meet up.

              • Hearing the soothing beat of a rx 100.

              • Diving into a corner on a RTR200 and honda hornet.

              • Morning coffee and meditation.
