I wonder how Niranjan would have reacted if he was on his bike and not his cycle.

@Niranjan-Good that you used your presence of mind at that time.As someone said that guy must be some powerful person from the same locality.

To be honest, it was really difficult to control rage. At one point my heart said that I should use my hands and feet on the b@$&*@...but then, people like us grow up with sense and decency. We usually try to avoid such situations and if faced with such, try to deal with it diplomatically via communication.

Unfortunately, the bollywood effect of seeing sallus, SRKs and Dutts bhai-giri is an absolute lifestyle for these roadside heros.

Just lately a gentleman in Pune working for a software company shot(with a gun) similar roadside b@$@# who picked a quarrel with him. Cases of road rage are on the rise...especially in Pune.

This reminds me of somwehat similar incident that happened to me 4 years back in kothrud. I was riding my hero honda street that time near the slope of Vishwas library at a an ok speed (This bike really cant go that fast) when i saw a small girl who was trying to cross the road standing the right in the middle of the road. I stuck to my lane also i honked to warn her that i amp passing from behind but suddenly i dnt know what changed her mind she turned back and came right in in front of me. There was hardly anytime for me to react stil somehow i braked and banged into this girl eventually and both of us fell down. This being a little girl got so frightened that she started to cry out so ludly that it started to attract more attention than it was already there. Suddenly all her family memebers came running and that girls mother came and started to tell every1 to beat me up.(Some moral values she' s got). The girl and mother already started howling and crying as if i have killed sum1 and those people were just abt to touch me when suddenly out of the shops nearby came an uncle who matched sumwht the same description of the 1 who helped NV came to my rescue. He did saw exactly what had happened and said to that Mother that if she cries or howls anymore he would slap her right across the face all the other people too became cautious and stepeed back.He told her that how irresesponsible and foolish she was allowing the girl to cross the road unassisted and the all the while she was standing right across. Next he truned towards me and said that the girl looks hurt and u shld take her to the hospital. He also told others to call up her father to the place where this hpnd. I stood there for sometime thinking how would her father react to all this meanwhile this little girl was crying her guts out. Her father did turned up and he was asking politely wht and how this hpnd he ws not much of an actor as his wife (the girls mother). Later we took the girl to the hospital and it turned out that the girl's father was a watchman at the hospital. The girl had fractured her leg and her treatment was done for free. Out of goodwill i did give 200 bucks to her father which he accepted after sum persuasion from me.(come on they were quite poor and that could have been of sum help to them). I also thanked that other person who helped me out there his name if i remember it right was MR. DANGE he was a real estate agent and helps out the unemployed in this area and quite influential. Phew thank God this man was there at the right place at the the right time.

This was the first incident that came to my mind after reading wht hpnd to NV. There are good people (BHAI's out there)

@samuel: that was close buddy. These situations can get very tricky...especially when people make it seem like its larger than it actually is.

Thats what these GAVTIS r famous for they blow up the situation to attract attention and create name for themselves which increases their status in that area.

There was this 1 more incident which i wil post later in which i got mugged in Nal stop after getting in to a fight.
