Same pinch for looking for it for 2 months..but that was back in October 2008..Originally posted by Jonak View PostGot the Panasonic FZ28 yesterday.
Bought my FZ28 on 31-December 2008 (The day after I lost my wallet and Cards before I had the requisite cash on me, in a city where i did not stay.). But that story is for another thread.
BTW.. didnt get to use it too much fpr the last 8 months.. but it has never disappointed... Just loved the Form-Factor, weight and features packed in.. apart from the awesommme battery life.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Hi,
Talking of lenses... I am looking for a Nikon 50mm 1.8 or a 35mm. I use a Nikon D60(I know it will not auto focus).
Also, looking for a flash suitable for my cam.
Anyone(preferably in Bangalore) selling either of the above, please PM me.
Thanks,
Mash**MaSh**

the new 35mm 1.8 DX will autofocus on the 60, and is also the 'normal' lens for the crop DLSRs (52.5mm equivalent focal length)Torque nut in the land of horsepower worshippers.

Today (2nd September, 2009), a very very dear friend of mine, known infamously as 'Bandhav' bought himself a shining black Canon EOS-1000D. The deal was really sweet, not to mention he got it, properly with bill.
And then, it rained like cats and donkeys! Although, much of the time was wasted in this rain, waiting at a shed in one of the many bylanes of Chandni Chowk waiting for the rain-gods to relent a little so that we could go back to Bandhav's office, which happens to be the Bajaj Probiking showroom no less(!), but we didn't quite mind. The happiness was pretty evident on Bandhav's face. Heck, even a blind could tell how ecstatic he was!
Congrats Bandhav, FINALLY, for getting yourself a D-SLR. Welcome to the world of D-SLRs. You are now, officially, in this 'pit', which, like you said, wants more and more moolah (and lenses)!

My heartiest congratulations to Bandhav for taking the plunge at the "right" moment in his life! I am sure he will understand what I am talking about.
Welcome Bandhav, to the fascinating world of DSLRs! Let the fun begin!

in other news, canon has launched a proper competitor to the D300s, but unfortunately, has crammed way way too many pixels on the APS-C sensor.
18MP, 1.6x, crop 19 point all cross type AF system, 100% viewfinder, 1x mag (with the 1.6x crop factor, it still is smaller than the full frame ones), 8fps, 1080p video with selectable frame rate, and some more good stuff.

Finally bought the Nikon 50mm 1.8 D. Yes, it does not Auto Focus on my D60, but i dont miss the auto focus. It taught me, what the blinking dot in the bottom left corner of my view finder meant. Love the lens. Suddenly low light shots are so much easier to shoot.Originally posted by mashmash View PostHi,

Thanks. Had got the cam earlier, just got the Lens and Tripod recently. These are the test shots soon after I reached home. Did not even process them, just put them up as sample, else would have put in the Critique thread.**MaSh**
