Recently I was planning to do something unique on my 220 so went ahead and did it. Here I'm sharing what i did and how i did incase anyone of you want to do the same modd yourself.
The process is a bit time consuming and needs a lot of concentration so keep your minds free while you perform.
It is completely safe for your bike and you and since LED strips consumes very less power, no question of battery drain. All resistors are connected to the strip so no need to add resistors or diodes.
So let's get started,
THINGS REQUIRED:
1. 2 LED strips cut from the cutting point(cut anywhere else, the strip is unusable)
NOTE:I would suggest a DC conversion for your bike's electrical setup if possible and would strictly suggest not to use LED BULBS
LED BULBS do not last long. They can blow off anytime. Only use LED STRIPS as can be seen in the picture.

2. Wires

3.Insulating Tape(no cello tapes please, ask for "BLACK TAPE" or "RED TAPE" at shops)

4.Pliers(required to cutting the wires to required lengths)

5.12V Output Adapter to test connection(power output should not be more or less than 12V, computer speaker adapters, home theater adapters, synthesizer adapter, guitar processor adapters will do)

6.Adhesive(don't use FEVI-QUICK as it will spoil the fibre, Fevicol or Dendrite will do)

STEPS:
1. Split the wire ends as shown

2.Connect on alternative polarity on alternative sides by passing 1 split end tail through 1 of the holes in 1 side and then winding the exposed end to the inserted end to ensure better connection and seal the unused point using insulating tape as shown (safety measure)

3.Test the connection using the 12V output adapter(if it doesn't glow, try inter-changing the polarity)

4.Seal the ends firmly with tape (safety measure)

CONNECTION:
1.Locate connection sockets (Pulsars below rear seat as shown)

2.Locate the Tail light socket


3.Open the socket and understand the connection points keeping the round marked locking point as the base

4.Split ends of 1 LED Strip connected with wires.

5.Connect as shown and check connection (switch on the headlight). If it doesn't glow, interchange the wire positions.
NOTE: None of the wires should touch each other else your battery will get fused so be careful on that.


6.Close the socket exposing 1 end of the splitted end.

7.Stick the connected LED strip to the area shown on the right side (battery box)

8.Take another LED Strip that is connected to wires and connect its wires to the exposed ends after checking connection and then seal it with tape (safety measure).

9.Stick the LED strip to the exact place where shown on the air filter box, else illumination will not be visible at all.

RESULTS:


FOR LICENSE PLATE LED STRIP ILLUMINATION AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURE BELOW,

Follow the previous steps for wire connecting to LED Strip then open the screws under the rear mud guard as in picture, nothing else needs to be opened.

This will open the part right above the License Plate, inside that you'll find 2 more screws which you'll need to unscrew and pull the part out.
You'll find the rubber socket with the 5w bulb. Gently hold the wires and pull out the bulb, no twisting, no pushing, just pull.
Then put the LED strip connected to wires inside the part that was attached to the mud guard and connect the wires to the rubber socket.
Remember to put a paper roll or something insulating in between the wires to avoid fusing(fusing may defuse your battery completely) and then put everything back in its place leaving out the bulb ofcourse
and you're done.I've tried my level best not to use any technical terms, however any questions, suggestions or comments are encouraged.

Well, yet another modification done, but sadly, no DIY for this as I was too excited making it...

Modifications include:
1. Changed the back light color of the tachometer,
2. Scribbled out a "R" on the tachometer,
3. Terminator Eye, but looks more like Transformers Eye...

4. Lighting the Air-vents on the side of the fairing.

The reason why the Terminator Eye is not coming good or rather looking artificial in the pictures is because of the wave length of the color i used and the reason why I prefer this to be called Transformer Eye is because after doing a survey online, i found out that people generally term blue halo rings or outlines to be angel eyes and red ones devil/demon eyes... but the modification i did is none of them, infact few sites term this blue crystal eyes...

I seriously think the modd resembles the Terminator theme if done with red like the one below


And transformers eyes if done with blue like the one below,


hence i mentioned terminator eyes but then i mentioned that to me it resembles more of the transformers eye...

hope I'm justified with my points...

And Scribing the 'R' part,
Just sketch out the letter or sign you want, then with a sharp blade, gently peel the surface off.
DIY for Terminator Eye and the Fairing side wall illumination:
1. Dismount the fairing, what i had to was this:

ya i know, pulsars look sexy naked also...

2. Open the headlight,
3. Open the lower beam bulb,
4. Insert the LED strip (connected with wires ofcourse)
[LED strip type and connecting them to the wires is shown in the beginning of this thread]
5. Stick it inside the reflector using your fingers,
6. Open the Air-Vents on each sides of the fairing and stick to them the LED strips exactly on the area shown (sticking anywhere else will make them visible).

7. Connect the wires to the pilot lamp connection (the BLACK wire with a Yellow line on it is the GROUND and the RED wire is LIVE)

Fit back everything with good care so that none of the wires tear or get loose and enjoy the new look...

by the way, i believe i did not share these new modds...








Added HID to my lower beam. The setup of HID is a bit tricky for all Pulsars. Local mechs say that HID cannot be used with stock pulsar switches and needs a separate toggle switch. All crap. I am using my HID with my stock switch without any modification. Its just the wiring that needs the play around. Here's how you can do it yourself:
The + and the - that goes into the battery for the rest of the bikes for most cars and bikes, actually go into our headlight socket (where our stock bulbs are fitted).
Now from the remaining two + and - that generally go into the upper/dipper switch of the headlight for most cars and bikes, that is the tricky part.
The + needs to be connected to the + in the headlight socket where we connected the other + of the HID kit and the - needs to be left out. Just seal it with a black insulation tape and leave it.
You are good to go.
Enjoy HID with the stock switches and the stock functionality of the BCU.
