Checked for options online and surprisingly got many remedies. Even a wooden plank is a potential side stand(a few youtube videos are available on the same).
Than I saw couple of DIY videos from Dhaval Mahidharia(he has bunch of useful DIYs for KTM Duke). I really liked the portable side stand, that can be effectively used for lubing during tours. Here's the video
Looked very functional and compact. Was pretty sure that it would be reasonably priced. However, when I contacted him, the stand was quoted around 1950 plus shipping charges. At this price, I could have fabricated a paddock stand. Finally to make the prototype and a few adjustments, I had to shell out 350 Rs(when made in bulk, it ll cost somewhere 25--300).
Nevertheless, taking design cues from this product, I decided to make one as per my requirements. I analyzed what I needed. Drew the sketches of prototype and spent an afternoon running from one Steel work shop to another, in my area. Finally, with a few adjustments, I could make one for me. I am sharing my sketches and prototype details, so that everyone can benefit.

Here's few more pics of actual prototype being made. I chose quarter inch square pipe for this purpose. One can choose 1 inch pipe too. Half inch pipe doesn't have the rigidity to withstand the weight of bike.
After adjustments in height and degree of slant, the final prototype
And a bit of work on aesthetics.
Finally the side stand looks like this
This is the size of A4 page. The side stand is so concise.

I think the information given above is enough to fabricate one, at the local steel work/fabrication store. Still if somebody needs help or ready-made pieces, please PM me.
