hmnnn, seems like xbhp is again going through a string of changes ... good.

these titles are so much better than previous senior/junior ..... good.

so i will fall under "Rusted", ha ha ...even my bike is now getting rusted....seems like in sync with my bike.....

a few suggestions...

(1) on one hand we are trying to abolish the differentiation based on post count and on the other hand we are awarding titles based on post count. both policies doesn't go hand in hand.

(2) there is only one title for members with 250+ posts, seems like a little injustice as there are members with even 9000 posts.

(3) IMHO, even if titles had to be awarded based on post count, the slabs should be appropriate - like-->

0-100
100-500
500-1000
1000-3000
3000-5000
5000-10000
10000+

(4) And why remove the custom titles, man....i love my title, why should i be forced to accept a title, which is based on post count. i hate segmentation in society, be is based on caste, skin color, religion, region or post count.

Majority of the janta seems to have liked the change.

And yes, the previous titles seemed to have given a false sense of being junior/senior on the basis of number of posts. These titles, though are on the basis of number of posts as of now, will take care of the junior/senior issue a lot of members complained about.

That's true, people who have posted more, I mean plus 2000 or even plus 1000 should be appreciated with a good title. I don't think somebody will spend a their time just to increase the number of posts. People who have posted plus 2000 are really dedicated that's what I think.

IMHO, even if titles had to be awarded based on post count, the slabs should be appropriate - like-->

0-100
100-500
500-1000
1000-3000
3000-5000
5000-10000
10000+

Plus one to that.

I am a sucker for nostalgia. My title "Bike bike and away.." was something i really liked. At-least you could have given us a heads-up, we would have taken screenshots of the older badges Though this is better than - senior/junior member classification.
Also, if we could also have something like number of likes/thanks/rep points (as in some other forums) serial/OT posting could come down to some extent.

That is a welcome change here .......... but may the slots should be widened "a bit", with a change in "Font colour of user titles" ........ and further one or two "more slots" on above side should be provided to separate the real junkies that we have with us

But the "post count" should glow only at the profile visit page (as LIKE counts are), not near the Avatars every time near every post, instead TRAVELOGUES COUNT may be a welcome change to introduce

Not any more than what it was earlier.

Earlier also, there were junior-senior member titles, that may have caused the same OT's. These titles are more "informal" in their nature which goes by our biker image.

Well, I am OK with this, but liked the old system where we could have our own titles. I had "Explorer" title. We could use that to reflect current state of us.
Can we also have some custom field where we can update any keyword which would appear above our "avatar" image?.
When things were really "informal", in one particular industry, employees where told to invent their own titles . I think now with new system we are more corporate than "informal".
Biker image (external) - By the way, I always wear starched and pressed formals (under biker gear) and ride out, even on a Friday ! .

Guys, the custom user titles will be brought back a little later.

and yes, we will introduce more slots above the 'rusted' ones. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us technically to award the titles on the basis of anything else except the number of posts right now. However, if we find a solution to this, we'll be more than happy to implement that.

till then, treat the post count just as an indicator of level of a member's interaction online.

It's better to widen the slot a little bit. See, I am young here in xBhp and have become rusted while in truth I am still addicted only. It takes a lot of post to get rusted. No complaints just kidding.
