    Hi Guys,

The KTM Duke 390 is not able to qualify itself for the A2 license in Europe due to its light weight.

KTM will have detune the bike to anything less than 40.75Ps max power to make it eligible.

We would Im sure get the unrestricted one, since its manufactured here in India.

Honda undercuts Ninja 300's pricing for their new CB500 series in UK.

The CB500 series will come with ABS as standard and are priced at 4650 pounds (CB500F) and 4950 pounds (CBR500R).

To compare it, the CBR250R's price is 4100 pounds; Ninja 300 is 5200 pounds and KTM Duke 390 is 4500 pounds..... All models with ABS.

Keeping the prices of the US and UK market in perspective, the big Hondas should come to our country (provided its completely locally built) with a price tag of 2.4 lacs to 2.9 lacs on road!!! whoo... cant wait for the launch...

My prediction on Duke 390's price in India is 1.7 - 2.0 lacs which is excellent value for money which would undercut the Honda CBR250R.

However the biggest disappointment would be the Ninja 300 with it being imported, could be priced between 3.5 - 4.0 lacs!!

        All on road prices..

I wonder is Ninja 300 worth so much above the competition and would it make sense for BAJAJ-KAWASAKI to bring it to our country...

Well all of the above is purely my own perception and expectations.. and no offense meant to any fan

For people who beleive the Duke max power output is 44hp or 44Ps, heres the link to correct you:-

Looks like the KTM Duke 390 is the comprehensive winner in this Poll.

Congratulations - KTM-Bajaj for the most promising product.....

                Faired 390!!

Overdrive speculates that the KTM Duke 390 will be a faired version and not naked like the one displayed in EICMA!!!

I dont know how correct are they as I think they are reading inbetween lines of KTM CEO's interview.

However I will be more excited to see them launch the faired version along with the naked

The bike has finally come on sale in Thailand.

The price is more than 3.6 lacs on road for the CBR500R with ABS as standard.

The below link gives a more realistic expected price for India when it is launched next year.

If Honda manufactures the CBR500R in India, expect its price to be pegged at well under 4 lakhs | IndianCarsBikes.in

Also to add on, the bike will come with a max output of 47.5Ps only worldover and there is no power bump for the markets outside Europe!!

                    Kind off a disappointment really...
