its a nice mod and can boost the power if done perfectly.. but i doubt on the reliability... can ditch you anytime.. i wish companies start focusing on this factor and it comes as stock in future..

              Re: Turbo on bikes

As now the day turbos are used for getting nominal power from small engines in cars, it is going to take ages when we will able to see superchargers/turbochargers in small road bikes.

Turbos can't be used in india on bikes, we don't have that low temperatures here to justify the use!

What with Low temperature? Sorry could not get the point.

Chargers increase pressure and Temperature of air to improve ignition properties, if air temperature is already higher, it will result in pre ignition and drastically reduce efficiency.
                    As per my understanding though!

I dont think ambient temp is a major hurdle , one could always use Intercooler to get back to normal temperatures , and/or the other detonation prevention measures can be incorporated. Turbos are doing duties in all sort of vehicles from Sahara to artic circles.
I guess no Turbo maufacturer has a turbo small enough. Small bike engines below do not generate enough Exhaust energy to spool up a Turbo and provide any useable boost.

Use of other components wont justify the cost was my point[emoji4]

How come cost is coming into discussion when no one seems to have even a prototype. I said small enough turbo are still not available.
How are we discussing cost of something which is not even available.

I guess you had temperature trouble in your first post , not cost.

Agree with your point, I just had understanding that use of charger will not be justified in india for 2 wheelers.

Whats the point of having a turbo? Motorcycles have already reached the maximum usable power limit. (250BHP is more than enough for everything)
                              I am back!

I guess around 120 bhp is more than enough for any kind of motorcycle for road use.
There are a lot of bikes making way more than that already , very few make use able power for average Joe .
Most of the bikes make all that power way up the rpm band ( good for a race/ Track), and less than 5% people actually explore it regularly on road.

Turbo can make that power at very low rpm bands.
A bike making 100bhp at 4-5k rpm is way more use able and makes that power because of Torque , rather than Rpm. Is also more fun to ride and less stressed.

IMO ,A turbo could be best thing to Happen to Cruisers and street bikes.
