@lockhrt999 Very well said.

Yes new RE 350 does manage 120-125 (stock setup). I have done 123 around on mine and with some performance upgrade the 350 can go up-to 135 around. BTW ACE motorcycles who work on Bullets in USA does some crazy stuff with CI and AVL Bullets and they have made it touch 180 km/h of speed . Nevertheless modifications can indeed do lot of magic

Yes, those tyres are legit. I wasn't talking about that. Photo was cleaned in PS that's it.

@Sal: I don't have special love for bullets but they can do 120 like speed alright. But owners don't go upto those speeds knowing engine will need to be rebuilt at every other corner.
In family we owned a vehicle built around on 60s european technology. By the time we sold it in scraps it had done only 30k km and most of those km came from muscle power rather than engine power.

My close friend with his 220 went on a long tour with a group consisting of a CBR250 and a Bullet350. Their planned tour of 5 days prolonged to 7 days because the bullet broke down dozen times. Yes the the bullet rider was carrying general parts like spark plug, oil filter (the things that most likely to go wrong) but some unusual part failed and they had to wait to source the parts. Since then they have decided not to allow bullets on long tours.

Maybe now have you gotten the answer to "What do RE guys really have against Pulsars?"

Bullet has it's own place. For many things, it's best for what it does. It's wrong to place a bullet into other type.

Bullet is one of the best cruiser here and isn't really cut for sport touring.

Bullets are exactly like HD in US. Even there they think HDs are super fast.

From my experience I have learnt it's wrong to compare bullet to other bikes. It's like comparing a private yacht to a 747. Both have their own purpose.

Choosing a bike is something like choosing a wife, you really don't think what parts work what don't.
Like my old signature said "It's always brainy to go with the heart

Because 'Every year new models come out and they always outwit the old models'. And if you can't make peace with this fact your life will always be unrested.

Sal Whatever you wrote is not incorrect except one thing. The new RE STD 350 does manage 120

Lol, this thread is hilarious and spot on.
Have a colleague of mine who owns a Antique Bullet 500, and according to him every other bike is a crap, obviously the #1 bike for him in the hatred list is my bike P220 and for no reason. Heck he even hates the latest Enfields and calls the Classic 500 and TB500 as 500cc Pulsars.
What do RE guys really have against Pulsars?
My biggest mistake was when i suggested him a new bike, and i suggested the D390 and it was like the biggest insult he ever had. He goes like, Dude i already own a 500cc, why would i drop down to a 390cc and such a light weight bike, it would look like a cycle to me !

+ I have another colleague of mine who has recently booked the Bullet std 350. . I am like, dude the top speed itself is 100kmph, nowadays even 125cc bikes do 100, how would you be coping with us on the tour, when we would be doing 90+. And he claims that this bike would do 120kmph, without any hassles, and he has done it on his friend's Bullet!! Me: OHK, lets wait for the bike then.
(Damn speedo errors, i once remember doing 100 on Splendor)

And i always keep teasing him: Sala 1lakh ki upar wali bike leraha hai aur usme Disc brake bhi nahi hai.

@lockhrt999 yeah, this one seems edited a little bit but as gyan_recl350 points out, they are not that uncommon in Punjab.
Yes buddy this is not Photoshoped and not uncommon. You can find many such Enfields/Enfield pictures . In Punjab they do stuff tractor's silencer in the bend pipe, don't know for what fun and put those tractor tyres for bouncy rides ..LOL . I had a chat with a guy from Punjab (Enfield owner) and he was telling they ride their Enfields on their fields with those tyres

Thanks to who ever resurrected this thread
And like I've said in the old post as well, I dont hate any bikes, not even pink coloured scooty peps with a badge reading hate me!!!!
All I hate are the fanboys dissing everything else!!

Heck, we ended up making this as a tribute to the original Bullet! It almost borderlines on what me and Tilak disagreed upon :P
