Engine costed me 54K all inclusive. Rest I have done with my own hands. Would have spent another 5 to 8K on other things. But I am left with a new brand FZ16 engine with me which has done less than 200KMs.

Thanks Buddy. Done Delhi Leh twice on a car. First time was in 2000 when very few people knew about the route. This time is going to be special as it will be the fastest.

Thanks Kanvis, This was the nearest handle I could get for my requirement. This was worked upon, bent and a cross bar welded to it. The new shape of this very handle is quite different now. Will attach a pic of the same as few people have commented about it.

              Cheers

It is difficult / not possible (as per the law) to register such bikes.

But surprisingly I got the bike inspected for insurance renewal which had expired. The inspector checked the bike, took pics of the bike, even took pics of the radiator and insured the bike. Now I make it a point to get renewal before the expiry of insurance.

How is it possible to get this bike insured?

How and where will the Surveyor analyze the cost, if a claim is submitted regarding engine components?

watching this thread from very first post, liked the way its done, and i m never against such mods but some how it is not legal.
the insurance guys are plain dumb to observe engine swap, but just say some words about it and you can see em running away........
imagine a case of mishap, bike impounded, engine/bike being checked/analyzed by roadside mech, engine swap not on rc, what kind of charges one/you will be facing......
this is india, nobody cares, but play safe..

This is how the same handle looks now.

The insurance was primarily required for theft. Engines are usually safe in case of crashes, or will manage on my own.
