                yep i remember my friends from school who had it (lucky buggers!) ...they used to sell the stock silencer for anywhere upwards of 10k and fix an old silencer for 400-500bucks..

                that was loads of money then for school kids....

                        I knew this even before the RTR was launched man. I already had the engine specs back in 2006.

                        The RTR would hit 12k in 4th as well. However it would take crazy speeds to hit 12k in 5th and more over there is not much power build up.
                        I made a modified set-up on my RTR and it was hitting 12k in 4th easily over a stock engine. Much faster and that too with a taller gearing.
                        The max I have clocked on my RTR stock spec group D engine is 11100rpm in 5th with the GPS showing 134kmph. A bone stock bike will take ages or probably never get there at all. I did this is in an 850mtrs patch.

                          @joel: As far as i know.. a group D vehicle is the one in which you can not do any modifications to the engine a stock one... and the only thing a person can do is.. reducce the wieght ofthe bike as in The Himalyan Raid..
                          Also,can you justify the accuracy of a GPS unit or a speed gun..."NO"..cos you can Crouch or be sitting upright and it could be done on a slope as well..,whereas the speed on a flat strainght patch may be different..
                          its really impossible to see and clock 130kmph + speeed on RTR..

                          Also For yuour information..i would request i our jighly valued xBhpian Manan_in_2000 t5o throw some light, who has a RTR modded to almost 70%, Fully Upjetted,Full Timing Advance,K&N Air filter All done by Castrol Bike Zone.. And me and C_sbk went past riding him on Pulsar 180 while returning from a ride and his meter showed 130+ however our showed somewhere around 125kmph,and he was left way behind.. we were led by just two people SKYSCRAPER on the lead and we following SUNNY on the Second place..(we wer on 3rd and 4th place resp..)

                          ans by this i hope we can conclude that our P180 was near 140kmph and sunny's and sky's ZMA were past 150kmph+ ....

                            I dont understand what are u talking about.
                            FYI our bikes are never tested over a slope. Its always level road, in the presence of many others/members.
                            And FYI there is no other RTR in the country that is faster than what we know of anywhere else. The RTR is nothing but a revised Fiero engine. I own the fastest Fiero in the country, so lets not talk about any bike from Manan or stuff.

                            And even if u crouched or not, how will that affect the accuracy of the speedgun/GPS? And my engines level of tune is far from what u can expect or believe. Although Group D regulations say the engine has to be stock, there are many other things that u can play with. Fueling, ignition, timing etc free in the engine. And mine is a blue printed engine with a much higher state of tune due to the above said changes. A bone stock bike stands no chance.
                            At the same distance where my RTR does 130 on the gun, a bone stock RTR will do 121/122.
                            And I've never quoted speedo reads anywhere man. Its all measured on the speedgun/GPS/Sigma. All accurately set and run on a flat plane.
                            Also this is done in the presence of other members too. I dont need to prove anything here to anyone. This is what it can do and this is what it is.
                            I can bet on the levels at which any other 4-stroke in the country is modded and I know where we stand. So lets not compare with something done by Castrol Bike zone. I know the factory bikes really well, whats this then.
                            U wont even imagine what all is gone into building our engines, especially my Fiero. There is no resemblance of anything stock in the cylinder head/cylinder. Hope u get things now man.
