Coming to the point, the bike is performing quite well. Ride-ability is better than the stock 220. Smokes any bike that tries to show-off (just kidding ). Has proved its reliability on long tours and within city. Mileage is more or less same, however, I think it is good as now I redline my bike quite often.
Now, my past record with keeping a bike for long has never been good. My family thinks I spend all the money I earn in selling and buying bikes. They think thats the reason behind my poor bank balance...LOL......i bought and sold 6 different bikes within a span of 6 months (no exaggeration) before hanging on to my current 220 for more than 3 years now. This bike in stock condition was very good. It bought a huge smile whenever I rode it.
However, after Joel cast his magic on my bike it has become lot more fun. In between quite a few good bikes were launched (CBR, Duke, 200NS, R15 v2) but none of them were convincing enough.
Now comes next level of MODS. Next week my bike will undergo heart transplant. Yes!!!! Finally 230 Bore on my bike. Got some very good reviews from Ashish (AshuNik), JoelKraju. Will stick with existing Carb for the moment and will install that in next stage. I guess this is how I will be able to appreciate better the various upgrades that will be in place.
Will update this page with my review on Big Bore...........

You mean Enfield Service Center? Do they keep stock of glass-wool for their exhaust? I will visit them this weekend.

Rock wool and Alumina silicate are good substitutes i have heard. But dont know where to source these. I was informed by a guy who deals with alumina silicate, but that would have to be bulk orderd i think, like really big orders.
But from the properties of Alumina silicate-
    -More heat resistance
-Less burnup rate as compared to glasswool
    -better sound insulation capability

And joel did say he will come up with better quality glasswool in newer batch, dont know if he has done it yet.

P.S: Even im up for glasswool change.

    Cheers

One thing worth mentioning here is, after the MODS I never faced Cold start issue again. Also a couple of other minor issues too were solved.

The setup is so good, I never felt like changing my ride. Quite a few good bikes were launched (CBR, Duke, 200NS, R15 v2) but none of them were convincing enough.

Now, my past record with keeping a bike for long has never been good. My family thinks I spend all the money I earn in selling and buying bikes. The stock P220 now really feels restricted to me and bogged down. Keep in mind my bike was not in top condition that time, what with a dirty filter, improper chain slack and lack of lubing. Have prepped the bike now, going to do few high speed runs tomorrow morning and update further.

Oh and yes, this "thing" is scaring the living daylights out of one and all . And yeah thanks to Joel, I no longer need to use the horn anymore ,its useless!!!
Hey can u pls tell me what was the total costs(everthing) involved with the entire Joeling of ur P220??..Curious..

Does the latest batch of FFEs have the race concepts logo on them ? And do the 220 specific FFEs have a stopper for the main stand ? Im getting my ride Joelled this weekend so I just wanted to know ..
Also , is it possible to mess around with the finishing of the exhaust ? Im not a big chrome lover I mean , can we achieve a carbon fibre/matte black finish ? Can paint withstand the heat of the exhaust ? But wont painting cause reduced heat dissipation ? Please give some inputs guys ..

    Firstly,Less weight. Better pweer-to-weight ratio.
'free flow'-the words speak mate. No cat-con for better flow of exhaust gaeses, maintaining flow velocity of the gases to get the best cyl. exhaust purging. This does result in louder noise levels and more pollution. How much? it depends.
Also when the intake is increased slightly, you need to match the outlet ratio, which in turn becomes a hard job with a stock exhaust.
Not only its non cat-con characteristic and light weight is what makes it a performer, also the tuned length of the primary pipe, and the diameter, play a significant role when it comes to enhancing the engine capabilities.

Please note these are just the outlines,to provide you the basics.
