Well... You cannot call it lost but Forgot.

My Brother went to office on the bike... Came back home with the helmet in hand walking. At that point, his office was barely 20 mins walk. He came home and i needed the bike to go out. So went down and saw that the bike was not there.

Thats when i asked hgim and he remenbered that he came walking with his friend.

      What to say...
No Left, No Right...It's a SIMPLE BOTH HAND DRIVE

Sunglasses. More sunglasses. A rear view mirror. A Vega helmet. A Sony H5 camera.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Nice thread! Reminds me of the time a fried lost his pillion rider! This guy got on the bike and rode off after a tea break; assuming the pillion rider had got on.

Had to ride back 3 kms to find the other guy calmly having his 2nd tea!

Re: Things you lost while touring/ riding

Was riding from Bangalore to chennai in the rush mode .
After I reached chennai searched for the key to turn the bike off.
Damn it the key had been thrown away
It was a duplicated key which happened to be removable even after switching it on and so it had jumped off the slot while I was riding .
Since then I make sure I carry the Allen key kit + tools to unlock the bike without keys too.

I went on a trip and someone really liked my mirrors i guess so some stole my mirrors.

I have been ripped of neon lights as well

                  P.S.: Never installed neons again

I, for a moment thought that you had lost your "wife"

                    Then I re-read your post.

Re: Things you lost while touring/ riding

I went on Bike ride cum Trek trip with friends.

So when late in the evening we came down & started preparing for our journey back to home.

I realized that I don't have the key.

Later I realized when we were on top, the key must have fell from my jacket pocket while playing in snow.

It was a remote place & no vehicle was there to take my bike but somehow convinced a driver to drop my bike to Sundernagar but demanded 2000 bucks.

Next day came back with Chaabi Wala who demanded 1200 rupees to go & make key. Also I had to pick & drop him.

A job of hardly 50-100 bucks costed me 1200 bucks.

So next day have to come back with Chaabi wala, as didn't had any

Hahahahah, Intresting topic. I also have a story to share,
We were on a trip to a hill station in Maharashtra, a friend was pillion to me, and while returning, after crawling the complete ghat for 30 kms, my friend was searching something all the time, and he said to me at a tea stall,

                        Lalit - wanna hear something,

                        Me - yes... say,

Lalit - I left my mobile in the hotel itself (and bursted out crying)

I was like, WTF Bro, "itne time se batana Nai hua kya". We called the hotel, waiter said let me check, at the second call, waiter said, NAI HAI SIR!!! (he was lucky enough to get a Galaxy S3)

And we rolled home with a broken heart!!!

Re: Things you lost while touring/ riding

A few years ago I went to watch a movie with my friend. I took my sister's activa, so that I dont have to carry the helmet to the mall. Parked the activa, watched the movie, came home and realized that someone has stolen the plastic thingy from the front suspension. Never bothered to replace it with a new one.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Re: Things you lost while touring/ riding

When I went to a shore nearby along with the bike...I remember putting my keys in my left pocket along with the handkerchief (no dumb ass fellow will put keys and handky in the same pocket, but I did) and it cost me dear. I lost the key or must have dropped in the sand. It was like finding a needle in a haystack

Had to move the vehicle (put side lock), so carried a bit from the front and my friend pushed from the back. Kept it in a house nearby, told them the situation and promised the lady to get it back in couple of hours. Ran home to find the spare key missing (what the ????????? ), found it, came back and took the vehicle.

                            Phew !!!!!!
