Where is the best place to stick the raceconcepts stickers that Joel has sent along with the kit - they are quite big!
A few snaps of the bore kit packaging and race concepts stickers

    Thanks for enlighting us bro..
So it can easily clear the test but with slight increase toxic gases.

I have Joeled R15(Big bore+ FFE + other goodies except ECU) and recently got the PUC certificate(well within allowed range). Here is the difference in readings of CO and HC values between Stock bike and Joeled one.

    Stock
    Regulation Actual Reading
    CO 3.5% Vol 0.55% Vol
    HC 4500 0762 PPM

    Joeled R15
    Regulation Actual Reading
    CO 3.5% Vol 1.29% Vol
    HC 4500 1020 PPM

PS: (This reading is w/o Joel's ECU and specific to my bike)

The purpose of a free flow exhaust and air filter is to allow more air in and out, this is to aid combustion. Why don't manufacturers do this? well firstly is noise pollution, before cat cons were introduced, I think in the late 80's, noise pollution was the main restriction in road vehicles, baffles in the muffler reduce the noise, they also reduce the flow of exhaust gases, when it comes to air filters, the noise levels of induction are relatively low in free flowing air filters, but the issue is more of maintenance, a free flowing air filter requires more frequent cleaning than a more restrictive type, another aspect is cost, they cost more to manufacture than the disposable types.

Now after cat cons became mandatory in Europe, a simple pipe set up called a decat pipe was introduced in the after market, this was a cheap method of getting a few more ponies for your money, when you needed to go for your annual emissions test, you would put the catcon back in place and remove the decat pipe. Now stick on a free flow exhaust and an air filter with the decat pipe, your engine, with a few adjustments would put out a healthy increase in BHP, this is without modding the engine, the car or bike was simply breathing more easy. Now as a result, you have an increase in fuel efficiency, this is due to more efficient burning of fuel.

Ever wander why a petrol or diesel generator goes on for hours with little fuel, than the same amount of fuel per kw output on a bike or car, would only last half at best, less restriction is the answer, more noise is there also, but damping is the solution for that and no need for emission testing.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Do you mean to say that the big bore kit produces more BHP and power with better FE because it has more room to breathe with more air inflow and outflow? Whether we put a new air filter or FFE from Joel, R165 guys claim to enjoy more FE and power. Is that the reason?

and also while a stock r15 feels lifeless below 5krpm a joel'd r15 feels powerful from around 3krpm and hence wud not need to revv the engine very high to feel power or get around in the city........

^^According to my tiny experience more the stress on engine = less FE.
So, more power (less stress) + better breathing + sedate riding is the mantra..
    Just my guess nothing else

I understand i just meant that i dont think YAMAHA missed anything that could give a better efficiency.i hope someones else can give you a good explanation.
