I do agree about the fact that dual shocks at the rear do not provide as good handling as with monoshocks. But that has nothing to do with confidence."But to just quote that we should be more cautious in twisting the throttle when you have less confidence" when harish said this I wanted to tell him that confidence does not depend on the number of shock absorbers and hence gave the example of the 70's when inspite of the poor handling machinery, racers had the guts to take them to those speeds. The NSR500/YZR500 have monoshock at the rear even then We will not have enough confidence to twist the throttle when riding the bikes.

Let me more Frank, I ride the RTR, P150, Dazzler and R15. I can simply say the Dazzler and R15 gives much more confidence and feels planted even at Full throttle.

While the RTR and P150 always give an unsafe feeling which makes me feel to lose my balance at Full throttle.

(I ride mostly on the nearby highway, with small potholes here and there.)

Its not a comparison my friend, its what I feel every time I swap bikes. The point is Indian Bikes mostly when they are upgraded to higher CCs (RTR160-180) to bang the sales chart, should also consider a Chassis upgrade for those bikes.

@ harish You have multiple motorcycles and that is why you are saying that the RTR does not give the rider enough confidence.I do agree that after riding the R15 (have not ridden the dazzler yet) even I did find something missing in the handling department of my bike. But unlike you,I and many people have only one bike and when you ride it everyday you become so attuned to the characteristic of the same bike that you will not hesitate to push it further since in such cases the confidence stems from the habit of riding the same bike everyday. So I am saying that the confidence in the case of people like me who just have one bike and have been riding it for a long time will depend on habit.Your advice "In such High speeds, I feel the make of the Bike matters a lot in giving you confidence. I mean the Handling and Braking."is more apt for people who ride the bike rarely or have just started riding a particular bike. When I crashed the bike,I did have more than one year of riding experience on the same bike hence there was and still is no issue of lack of confidence.(If you are generoous enough to lend me your R15 for a few days then I will have low confidence for the first one or two days when I return to my bike, but again I will get it back after a few days of practice on my bike)

seriously...why you were riding at that speed, you know that we dont have infrastructure for that kind of riding. This is completely insane and you paid for that. sorry but i have to use hard words. I don't know for what you were speeding and putting life of others too in danger. I mean seriously you need to think about it.

You must have heard of the saying "A burnt child dreads the fire". Well before the child got burnt, the flame was very attractive and it invited the child to come and touch it.Same happened to me!
