3 Aug 2010: Some fool had his headlights off in a pitch dark corner. I was riding at 40 kmph, but couldn't see him until he came infront of my lights, but it was too late, and I crashed into him, as he was crossing.
I banged into his bike, then I was catapulted in the air alongwith the bike, and I crashed into the road, right elbow first, and cracked my arm bone instantly.
Still recovering with a steel rod in my arm. Can ride bike but can't play basketball anymore...
An elbow guard/ jacket could NOT have saved me, because the impact was too damn harsh.
But still, having riding gear on is CERTAINLY better than not having. For sure.

Sheesh man that sounds and looks like a really freak accident
. hope your fine and so is the moron who decided to turn without indicators
I don't understand that even after honking why does this certain sect of people have this care-free attitude. I often see it over here in Bangalore where pedestrians and riders alike when crossing the road or so, even after so much of continuous honking go on in their own pace and without bothering to look left or right, like they own the road.
Really glad to hear that you were having your basic gear and good helmet on, definitely made a lot of difference. Just take care bro and recover well before you begun to ride____________________

Thats sad buddy. People here in our country are just senseless on the road. IQ less than a donkey or even worse. Its sad that nobody is doing anything about itOriginally posted by Samarth 619 View Post3 Aug 2010: Some fool had his headlights off in a pitch dark corner. . People dont even know how to drive in lanes.
Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Hi all thanks a lot for your wishes ,I am feeling better now.Parents are threatening to sell of the bike now (Hope they really don't mean it).Saw the final yesterday But missed Chris Pfeiffer today
as the doctor adviced me to have week rest.Came to know that the bummer who caused my accident just escaped with a sprained ankle, the lucky guy! Hope he wears a helmet and uses indicators henceforth.Heck even his bike was only scratched!

Get well soon bro! And I assume every one out there learns from this too. Me included!
You can never be cautious enough on our roads. Please do not make the concoction even more lethal by pushing the envelope.

7)Thou may lust after thy neighbour's bike specially if its of the R1 kind!

Good to know you were wearing riding gear, & escaped with bruises.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
