An RTR Fi can do another 3-4kmph more.
Under the same conditions the p180 would do a bit lesser.
The last time we pulled a few runs, a p200 was doing 121/122 on the gun at the same place. The FI is faster than the p200.

@bp - I weigh 67.5 now . And its not about weight alone my friend.

When I clocked 134 on the GPS, the speedo was showing 140-141. Look at the error rate.
Also the 0-60 thing is not accurate too. 3.9 sec is impossible on a stock RTR. My Group D RTR did around 4.45sec on the v-box. An RTR FI would do around 4.6-4.7secs.
These are a few facts about the RTR.
even i have checked it in my N95 8gb GPS .. its showed 125 when i guess the main reading was 130-135 i guess .. ..
i totally support you joel .. even i am sick of shouting the same things again and again .. that the company claims under normal conditions !!!!!!!!!
when you sit upright and etc etc ..
but when we bend down the speedo just pops digits like popcorn

          ps- i am 65 kg's

            Screw our mobile gps's man!

My N82 gps showed 117.9kmph when the speedo showed 130kmph. Accuracy rate was 9mtrs and this was in bidar. i have observed the gps going insane inside city but works perfectly when in ourskirts.

bottomline.............dont trust mobile GPS for their accuracy!

Alright here is another update after doing close to 4000 kms now.

Recently I did some riding with a pillion & I must admit of all the three bikes this is the only one whose performance goes down somehwat with a pillion, also the bike bounces all over the place while gioing over uneven surfaces with pillion.

Never felt any power loss with a pillion on board with the 180 & ZMA.

In all three cases I am comparing scenarios where the pillion was an average weight Adult.

Also about RVMs although they are better than Pulsars at high speed the range of vision (wide view) is somewhat less than those of pulsars.

^^Yeah true. Probably cos its sprung quite stiff. I reduce the stiffness by a notch when I take a pillion. And one other thing is that this bike might lack the greater torque on disposal with the ZMA.

Oh and what 180, 200.... damn are they (ever) coming...
i got cell no.from tvs, spoke to marketing manager for apache,(yes they have one dedicated for apache).
he told apache 180 carb version(presently no plan for fi) launch will be on may 2009.200 cc is not on cards.so atleast till end of 2009,no chance of 200 cc..forget to save his cell no.any way if anybody wants to speak, they can call hosur tvs no.& ask for sales section, any person will give u the cell no.

I have done 127KM/HR on my old pulsar 180(spokes) with my dad in the back seat.regularly crossed 120km/hr.but what the true speed was dont know but it was pretty fast and scary cause the damn front wheel was jumping up and down.

Exactly for carrying load you need Torque which both 180 & ZMA has more than the RTR.

                          ^^ +1
But its great news for an RTR to be compared with bikes higher than its league in the first place!
                          And, nice review there Techno!

P.S: Are you there on T-BHP as well?

Actually I am just posting my ownership experiences with the bikes that I have bought so far. Its not a segment wise comparison but a simple feature by feature comparison of these bikes which are from different segment

Hopefully this should help any potential buyers

Yes I am on Team-Bhp as well with same id.

I am pretty sure once you ride the RTR for a decent while you will end up going ga ga over its highway performance....
I still stand by my original post & no There is nothing to ga ga over RTR's highway performance when compared to the 180 & ZMA, while 180 is closely matched ZMA is miles ahead in highway performance

Consistent comparo you've done there. Very nice. Indeed useful to potential buyers!
So, would you recommend your present RTR to a college going student like me??

                                OT:
I registered onto T-BHP as well but sadly my ID has yet to be allowed to even post!
Saw you on some discussion there. So thought of asking help from you. I wonder if any rule that I've broken by registering?
                                Cheers!
