Thats a great news Akhil. Lets see how it is priced. A sensible price that does not breach 7-digit figures after registration is something that can make it sell really well. Heck, even I would not mind a peep. And my vote goes to the one with a half-fairing. I just cant manage 150+ speeds without a fairing!!!

Maybe if it is priced around 6 Lacs, I will go for it!

But Again, since it's a litre class, it might be a CBU...

But, how do you know about this?

      • Nobody commented on the non-availability of the R1 or the MT-01 for display, but someone lamented that the bikes CAN be sold through this showroom, although the official service centre would still be the one at Malad. Ah. Let's see. More details tomorrow. The FZ-1000 SKD rumour was confirmed, though....
This statement was given by Veyron1, a senior member in Team bhp.

Seeing that it created no dispute there, it "may" be true ... Mods, have mercy if this is not news!

            • @ Acehunter: Well dude, The "R1" Logo on the sides is different in 07 vs 08 ...

In 07 R1, The word "R1" is negatively slanting, from back to front ...

              In 08 R1, The "R1" is positively slanting ...

For Example, see in the image below:-->

Otherwise, technically they are both same.

                          • well i had this query for a while now, thought of posting it here..
Does playng (or rather shuffling it on/off) with red on/off switch on the RHS above the accelerator cause any sort of a damage to the bike even when the ignition is turned off??
had heard somewhere it does.. dont know how far is it true.. can someone through some light on this

It may cause a loose contact, but that can easily be rectified. It has happened many a time in my Fiero F2. The mech used to remove the wire, grind it a bit&then put it back again. It would work perfectly then!

                              • Guys, another statement given by A Reputed member from another site :-->

Ok, here's some 'andar ki baat'. Yamaha is launching the FZ 250 (to compete with the Ninja 250), FZ1 and the R6 sometime in April '09.
Now, these are ideally the most appropriate bikes considering the situations... Just hope what he said is true ...
