Had recent problem with 600RR which has the HISS. Owner lost his one and only key. Replacing direct from Honda is EXPENSIVE. Quickest option was to replace with ECU with new ECU which had HISS disabled. We then had a key cut to fit the barrel. HISS is now disabled but the alarm light continues to flash giving impression that HISS is still enabled. No 2009 R1 for India ... Yamaha is importing 2010 R1, which is basically same as 2009 R1 sans paint work.May the torque be with you..

Yes, It's a 1200cc motor with some 180 PS. And yes, comparatively less produced.
By the way, all info was not googled. I took it from Bike India, Jan 2009, Pg 67. And typed it here, relying on memory... Next time, I'll cross check!
I know, it's an old document... still, not all might have seen it.
