2)sound:- i have the newer version with the db killer et all , yes the sound without db killer is LOUD and pretty nice !! but some days when u want a silent day of riding, just pop the db killer and the sound reduces to a great extent .. but the differences in performance from stock is best felt without the db killer

i didnt get the decibel killer. i got tired of requesting joel to ship it out.

3)no problem of water entering etc and its been raining everyday here in bangalore ..

my only issue with the exhaust is the joint wer the weld is present for mounting the exhaust to the bike is already rusting and the sealing of the mouth of the exhaust to the cylindrical part is uneven and this is causing some air leaks ..all in all these are just the minor issues ..and will be talking to joel in some days abt all this so hopefully should be resolved

rust has been a major issues for joels ffe

    im satisfied with the exhaust
    hmm even me

      5000km and going strong...

Its been 5000km/4 months, and am loving every bit of it.Mine was the first one in Mumbai with a db killer(cant vouch on it as i didnt see any other on a 220).But do beware of dogs as they get irritated.I do keep a pack of biscuits with me.In between during monsoon i had to switch back to stock as my office didnt have enclosed parking.Switched back to ffe yesterday and boy o boy am i in love again or what. And i love the shape-short and sweet, always get taunted by lot of people.

No maintenance as such except for replacement of glass wool -- the frequency depends on your riding style

Is there any video on youtube/ internet, on how to replace Glasswool from Joel's exhaust? I never did this before. And might need to do so in future...

Also, is it easy to get glasswool from market?

Glasswool is available at most refrigeration shops. Or at some industrial hardware outlets. Its a simple process. Remove the rear cap and just fill it in.

The frequency of abuse is what burns away the wool. In most cases we have seen them last for close to 7-8 months. With the db killer as well.

                  I see. Thanks.
7-8 months?? If I get this exhaust, I'd buy lots of glasswool, at wholesale rates!

Also Joel bro, please do keep me updated on the Big bore and the exhaust... I'm so eager to make my bike a winner, that she rightly deserves to be, and have more good times and unforgettable memories on her.

Ha, didn't realise that we needed to top up the fibre glass, done it today on my R15ish. The silencer was empty apart from one morsel remaining, anyway packed it tight, what a difference from a high pitch screamer to a bassy rumbler in 5 minutes, had to spot weld the tail piece back on as I couldn't find anyone with a rivet gun, not that it really matters as the welds are not seen because I had made a cover for the silencer, after denting it during a low side. I guess I will top it up every 3-4 months from now on.

More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

would have been happier if joel sent me the decibel killer but even after repeated reminders to joel he didnt it has been 8 months..
joel i think you really need to improve your customer service

Just repacked my FFE with glass wool. Mine is now over a year & 6,000 kms old. Surprisingly there was some glass wool still remaining in the canister, though about 80% was burnt. Did anyone notice any change in the power character after replacing? Mine now seems to have noticeable backpressure and seems more responsive. Is it my imagination or does amount of glass wool seem to have a effect on the exhaust pulse?

^Perhaps yours being the older batch has a slightly varying clearance. No issues, just apply a bit of WD40 and it wil slide out with a plier!
