    Some numbers - mileage

Ok guys , a mileage update.

    Before mods :
    Sane city riding ( <5k kms )
    400kms / 13.36 L = 30 kmpl
Insane riding - stopped this kinda riding stlye coz I used to get like 23 kmpl.

    After mods :

Sane city riding ( <5k rpm , with pillion )
    1) 46kms / 1.33 L = 34.5 kmpl.
    2) 45.5kms / 1.30 L = 35 kmpl.

Not so sane riding ( ripping + hill climbes to Nandi hills )
    1) 200kms / 6.68 L = 29.9 kmpl.
    2)146 kms / 4.66 L = 31.2 kmpl

So there is a clear increase in FE. Some fine tuning is required. Coz the 220 is capable of delivering like 40 kmpl in the city.

Top speed - yet to be tested .. Not found time or extra money to blow on a NICE road ripping session

These numbers seems to be reasonable and realistic.

There is always a very consistent 10-15% bump in FE with the mods on the P220.

Bump in performance , feel , refinement and FE !
Really makes for a satisfying experience. Running Joels setup for the past 3k kms and Im loving every bit of it. No cop issues either (running without dB killer since day 2). But dogs really dont like it. I get chased pretty often by a pack of them in my locality. Just itching to test out top speed and other stats.
Joel , is the big bore ready ?? Im thinking on those lines now

              Random update

Well, Im running on my second exhaust for the past 3k kms which is of a slightly thicker gauge and hence the sound is deeper than the previous one. This also feels less flimsy. The initial metallic sound gives way to a nice muffled exhaust note once 2k kms worth of carbon has built up within the exhaust.
Overall, its been close to 7k kms since the bike was modded and Im loving every ride.

Another insane thing - there is a Blueish yellow flame that pops out of the exhaust when the rev limiter is reached ! Nice

I know Ive said this long back in the opening post of this thread, but video and will come up soon. Just need to find the right place and time to rev this thing without getting dirty looks and complaints

I have been using the Big Bore since last 3.5k kms,,, Nd I must suggest one must go for it nd make there Bike a Monster,,,
The Bike becomes much smoother nd easily touches the Redline easily,,, Its a great boon with the Headwork and FFE!!!

I got rear ended by a tempo traveller at a signal. Not a big impact but bad enough for the end can to get damaged. Joel said it will have to be replaced from the beginning of the muffler. Its a slow and painful process but what comes out of it is a practically new exhaust. I ddnt want t wait that long because Joel has other commitments and could not promise a clear cut time. Afterall, exhaust repair is not something that he normally undertakes unless there is a defect ( which is generally not possible ). So i decided to go in for another FFE..
I will have to see what becomes of that exhaust but it will perform and look like a brand new exhaust except for the blue colouring near the engine head due to the heat. That exhaust was used for 3k kms.

Hey bro, have you done anything to prevent the rusting issue..just a few rains are enough to get it rusting, my exhaust is showing signs or rusting only after a few rains.

                            Cheers mate

Nope. No rust issue so far. But the solution is :
                              1) Clean rusted area with kerosene.
                              2) Source some chrome coloured paint. You can get "spray on" chrome abroad but I dont know where you can get it here. Use the paint after cleaning with kerosene.

In fact, regular cleaning with kerosene will keep the rust away..
