    1) Clean rusted area with kerosene.
    2) Source some chrome coloured paint. You can get "spray on" chrome abroad but I dont know where you can get it here. Use the paint after cleaning with kerosene.

In fact, regular cleaning with kerosene will keep the rust away..

Also , a common rust arrestor is chalk powder. So clean with kerosene and rub some chalk over it. Helps contain the rusting

Sai Iyengar Tires , lalbagh road. Beautiful grip in the wet. Sucks A** offroad though ( naturally because its compound and tread pattern are more inclined to road use ). So choose it only if youre going to use on the road rather than off.

Another hassle less and less effective way for regular maintenance is spraying WD40 and leaving for sometime. Later wipe with a soft cloth and clean the stains/rust marks. Normally when I have to leave my bike unattended for some days or when the ffe gets dirty with mud very often in rainy season, I spray WD40 on FFE and leave it overnight. Next morning I clean it and wipe it with soft cloth.

Ah sir, you always come at the right time, im going to try it out today and ill add my feedback here.
FFE is doing great, need to get a glasswool refill, the sound has really gone out of chart. Its getting painfully loud, gotta get a refill and get the bassy sound which is much better, performance wise its the same and im loving it.
Done some 6-7k kms with it now, once i reach 10k ill post a review about reliability and longevity too..the monsoons will be a real test, so in a month or so ill get the true test result on reliability.
Ill keep you updated, will mail it to you.
OT : My exams going to finish by 24th, im planning a ride...

                    less effective ??
Yes WD40 is a good rust removal agent , have used it for the chain, but was not sure if itll somehow affect the FFE..just a little scared actually. First let me try the baking soda and then if its occuring again ill give wd40 a try.

@Ashwin bro, sorry for discussing this here.
