So what's you final say Ns or Duke?
If you are a new biker, I would not advise the duke. It's too much power for a newbie. Also the duke, power to weight ratio is more towards power, so the braking goes for a toss at 110+kmph.
I would not advise it unless you are experienced enough to judge the bike and decide the braking technique.

But I gotta tell you, once you mount a ktm, you are not gonna want to get off.

    I haven't done setting either.
    Running 16.2k at the moment.
Little lack in pick up - get the throttle body cleaned and it starts roaring again.

I hear some cluttering sound when bike is not running but when I pull in the clutch it's not there. Not sure if it's the tappet. Pick up is fine I guess. Will get it adjusted in next service at 22-22K.

It needs tappet settings every 10K ? I am touching 17K never did it and the service guy told me that it requires that setting around 25K or more. Please check.

NS is heavy compared to duke. NS is more of a calm bike and duke is not ( for me it's good , Personal choice ). There is no similarity in power delivery of these two bikes, you have to test ride to check what suits you. You will be spoiled by the mass centralization of duke which I would say makes the bike feel feather weight and with many horses beneath combined with good braking, you will have grin every-time you ride.

And I have even heard that 2017 Duke will be a completely changed version?
    Will this it get Abs?
By calm I was referring to the engine, which shows urgency in case of Duke. You can do long distances on Duke no issues but NS would be more comfortable. Don't know about the ABS/2017 version. Know your brakes and braking technique well and you would not require an ABS .

Coming to the topic I would say hold as wait for 200ns.its a brilliant bike unlike duke who just begs you to Rev rev Rev and Rev.also its suspension is pretty hard so get ready for back and body pain.hold till 200ns FI is out.
Regarding SOHC and DOHC it won't matter to you at all...trust me you won't even feel the difference between the two

And yes I will learn riding on any of these 2 only. I feel that NS will be easy to learn on then duke. But its weights is what I am concerned on?
I have even heard that its even tall?

I personally feel that it was stupid move by bajaj to stop production of Ns and promote As. Some of my friends who were willing to buy Ns were left with no option than As. They are not happy with those looks.
