How much guts can a biker have? This is really one amazing guy. I can't believe he had the guts to get back to racing despite losing his right limbs.

We bikers really love motorcycling. I got back to biking leaving a car's key in the process, after my hand was fractured.
And a particular braveheart member on our forum is still a biker after having an accident with 19 fractures, you know who he is. Hats off to him too.

And then there is this racer in question, the racer number "Half". Amazing.

Ohh... I forgot one thing: Topic Approved and moved to GBD.

        A true biker..

is the new number to be proud of...

But my question - Since he is a Double amputee, then how can he manage Clutch, gears and Front and Rear brakes by his only hand and leg??

I think the first pic shows clutch n front brake on the right side
Quick shifter wont need him the clutch for upshifts...n some racers (kevin schwantz mentioned exclusively about himself) do not use rear brake atall!!

Im amazed to imagine him control the bike under heavy braking after long home run!!!
          HATS OFF!!!

Totally speechless!! Again proves the fact that disability is never physical and is always psycological. Not only motorcyclists, but this is for everyone out there who think they have problems and that they can do nothing about it.

It's just a matter of believing in "I CAN" and the rest follows and Sir Alan Kempster proved it.

It is when you watch and see things like this that you realize how infinitely small your woes seem compared to what other people go through... one bad accident should not have kept me down.... I think I'm going to be unpacking my touring equipment and hitting the road very soon...

I just remember this saying "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going" I guess this can be suited to none other than this guy! The song, it's so good. I just overwhelmed with emotions. Honestly I just cried at last. Respect!

                  Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

In India, we respect someone who is older(quite) than us then"hum unke paair chu kar aashirvaad lete hai".
He is a true biker and with utmost respect, I salute him in the aforesaid Indian style.
Never seen a man with so much enthusiasm for bikes, we are still KIDS to be called as a biker before 1/2 .

Sorry for the Hindi use guys but can't stop myself.

This man is a living example of what the Human will is capable of.

Nothing but respect for him, a real life hero. I feel ashamed that even though I am able bodied I have given up so many times.

Lesson learnt. Thank you Mr. Alan Kempster.

becham_79's Topic Approved & merged here.

I still can't believe that he managed to stay competitive in racing (no matter at which level), with such a big disadvantage.

This first line of this topic, is so true.
