i agree, since honda is concentrating on a 100cc and also bajaj wants to re-enter the 100cc segment, i doubt whether there will be any new performance machines available. by the way, i called up the pro-biking showroom in gurgaon and they said that the new 220 will be out by 15th june or so, whereas the delhi pro-biking showroom has no clue about it. that honda CBR150R seems promising.
the problems with these speculation threads is that they make you look forward to so much of stuff, only to leave you finally disappointed.
anyways, i was at the probiking place today. new 200 to be out on june 10'th according to the guy there. There once was a woman who was quite begat.
She had three babies named Nat, Pat, and Tat.
She said it was fun in the breeding,
But found it was hell in the feeding
When she saw there was no tit for Tat.

I do doubt it.
Honda has announced that they want to enter the 100cc economy segment. There are news that even this 100cc bike is to takeover HH dominance. May even share common parts.
They will be closely working on that.
You know guys with the R15 and FZ, Yamaha had no other choice. They had to get back to what they are best, ie, performance biking after their dismal life in india..but not so for Honda..they are making money (activa) and would want to continue doing that considering the back lash of demand slow down in major developed markets globally.
Same for Suzuki, why did they bring in a commuter 150cc bike and not a high performance package like the R15? They too thought it is better to make money now.Access is doing ok, so what is the hurry.
So are we going to see a drought of performance bikes in India for the time being?
Kawazaki with Ninja, nothing to comment man.God knows what the Japs there are upto.
More from Yamaha, maybe cause they have nothing else to do now other than try to capture the performance end of the India market.
Its again the same thing guys, out of 100 people in India, 75 of them still buy commuting bikes.
We are 13000 odd guys in the whole of India out of a billion guys /gals discussing the next strategy for these MNCs who would obviously be looking at returns.
So lets face it.
The biker in us wants all the exotics launched.Atleast we have the speculation thread to make us happy.
Iam not being negative, but just realistically thinking.

"Advice" the source to stop speculations?Originally posted by joeprodigy View PostHi Somesh...can you please advice the source ?
Jokes apart, I would like the source too, if any ...
Dasco, not only are we less, but we are divided too, in terms of intrests ...We are 13000 odd guys in the whole of India out of a billion guys /gals discussing the next strategy for these MNCs who would obviously be looking at returns.
So lets face it.
I mean, Can we 13000 guys agree on a particular bike??
No, we are spoilt kids, someone needs a 250-400cc, someone needs R6, other needs FZ6, someone else wants a FZ1 and so on ... and won't settle for anything else!
So, despite our common passion, our diversity has ruined this real-performance bikes' market...---

Thought for today
Its close to one and half year since Ninja was showcased in Auto Expo but I never looked beyond anything other than what has been posted on xBhp.Got some free time this Sunday and thought of doing some Ninja reserch and here is what I have found.I think many a people would definitely know this.Ninja 250 costs 3299GBP.At 76.24rup per gbp it will make the cost of Ninja 250R some 2,51,515rupees.
Then I had a look at some of the other motorcycles which are already here like R1,CBR and CB1000R.Now take the example of CB100R.It costs 6950GBP.On conversion it becomes 529868rupees and in India it costs Rs10.5lakh
.I guess people are intelligent enough to do the similar calculation for Ninja.
So I guess people who are still thinking of Ninja250 at a price point of close 2lakh can go to sleep for another 4-5years.
I'm in love with that GIVI tail bag.Anyone going abroadOriginally posted by pulsater View Posttime for some OT snaps.
Couple on a tour with a pair of 250R
?

@MG_Biker1806: You forgot about the FTA India has with Thailand. Bajaj is going to utilize that.
Personally, I feel that if it does make it here, it will cost around 2.6 lakhs OTR.
Reason: Cost of vehicle in Thailand baht converted to rupees is exactly 2 lakhs. Not that Bajaj will be getting it at that price, it will be only at the manufacturing cost for them. I am adding 20% (Bajaj's profit margin), to it to get 2.4 lakhs showroom price. Over that the road taxes etc.adding up to the OTR of 2.6 lakhs.
Just my speculation!
Quench my thirst with gasoline!
