  • guys, this jan 09 bike India issue says that Ninja 250R is ready at the chakan assembly line and they are currently testing the bike. Hope it is launched soon

    • sorry guys, I just called up the pro biking showroom in delhi. they don't have a clue about this bike's launch dates or price or anything. I guess we should stop speculating even about the ninja and concentrate on other bikes which can be real. Thumbs down to bajaj for making people wait for 12 months over a speculation.

        • ^ why 12 months? They showcased their bike in auto expo and never gave any official launch dates. Why do you blame them. For eg. Pulsar was showcased in auto expo 2000 and launched in mid/late 2001.

Guys, Bajaj is known to launch bikes without much prior publicity/promos. Remember how they made everyone wait for the P220&suddenly launched P200 with it? Expect the same with the Ninja, only difference is this will not be a mass production bike.

i personally am not blaming bajaj because i am a pulsar owner as well. But remember that ninja 250 is a first in its segment here and its been eagerly awaited by almost all of the performance enthusiasts. And if i remember correctly it was in jan that the auto expo took place. Its Jan again in the next month. Still there is no clue. Whats annoying is that most of them in the probiking showrooms havnt even heard of the bike yet. And many bikes which were showcased in the expo have been released as well.

The Auto Expo takes place once in two years, so it'll be held again in Jan 2010.

There have been no launches from the bajaj stable. They must be working on it.Moreover expo is for showcasing a product. There are so many logistics that they would be working on which might not have been considered while showcasing the bikes.

And expectations were not raised by the company as they never gave an official launch date.It was the papers/magz/enthusiasts who kept dreaming and expecting.

But in the end I expect these bikes will make us happy (KTM, ninja and probables like 200/220 upgrades , discover sprint)

I believe they will ultimately launch the Ninja 250&KTM Duke 690, since they have given an official press release. Some sources (unreliable) say they are customizing the Ninja for India. Just hope they don't call it Pulsar 250!So, the Ninja is more or less confirmed news, but when&in what form, we need to wait&watch!

Read my previous post. They have showcased the Ninja 250&KTM Duke 690 at the Auto Expo 2008 (held once every 2 years). You can also go through the below link:

                            • guys it's not about complaining about bajaj but the company's moves are sort of weird.
                              1. They keep showcasing the ninja since so many auto expos.
                              2. In 2008 auto expo they say it will make it by mid 2008 or diwali.

If they haven't planned their logistics then there's no point in creating a speculation. Whereas companies like yamaha have launched their models on time. Anyways, i had cancelled my fz booking to wait for the ninja but now it seems i will have to go back to the yamaha guys to re-book it. The wait has been too long.

Dushyant is right! I know I posted some Spy images of Indian Ninja ... but still, they haven't even made a confirmed news ... Not even one!

btw R15 is a better substitute of Ninja than Fz. So, why don't you buy R15?

As far as I'm concerned, I want a bigger Yamaha, maybe a 400-600 ... I am just hoping! ok?
