I am more intrested in knowing what the R15 will get, I just hope a tail piece and some stuff (am guessing new colour schemes)
Will talk to him after the new year and take an update..Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

As for the R15 upgrade, I think its too early to start speculating that. Reason: I spoke to one of the Japanese guys (I know Japanese too) who had come down for the launch of FZ at Hyderabad. I tried hinting to him to change the rear tyre, put in a tyre hugger, powder coat the rims, LED tail etc., but he just smiled and said "Maybe in the next upgrade". When I asked him when can we expect that, he said "Donno, maybe in 2 or 3 years".
So, I think nothing new from Yamaha next year, expect a scooter probably.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

The cosmetic updates were set to be rolled out by Q4 to further boost sales ... so thats like Jan-Mar 09.. Not too far mate...Originally posted by R15Rocks View PostThats not from me, my friend-ask Drift_Unlimited!

Really? I thought that cosmetic stuff were the Yamaha official apparel&accesories. They're all launched for the R15, and coming soon for the FZ. I doubt if they would consider upgrading the model, even cosmetic, within less than a year for the R15&6 months or so for the FZ!Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostThe cosmetic updates were set to be rolled out by Q4 to further boost sales ... so thats like Jan-Mar 09.. Hahahaha! I don't know the technical terms myself (work mostly on software only), but I did manage to get the meaning across, in simple language!Originally posted by ken cool View PostGreat! Kudos to you.

No yaar, he said changes to the bike.... anyways, new graphics new colours or limited edition colours are not really impossible....Q4 is what he promised...Originally posted by R15Rocks View PostReally? Didnt they 'launched' the red R15 almost instantly as a delay ploy for the booking

R15 cosmetic upgrades
Could be...When I saw the accessories brochure, some items kinda gave me a clue that they would be launching it in Red too. Lets wait&watch...Personally I loaded up my R15 with all the accessories available&wouldn't like something coming soon enough looking better than it without spending anything extra!Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostNo yaar, he said changes to the bike.... anyways, new graphics new colours or limited edition colours are not really impossible....Q4 is what he promised...

Would these cosmetic upgrades be possible on the existing bikes. I know the colored parts could be easily changed. They can be done even now. However can things such as LED tail lights, Clear glass turn indicators, or, (if i'm expecting too a much) a better looking digital display be retro fitted on the existing ones? Because if i'm someone who ends up buying the FZ16 a couple of days or weeks before these speculated upgrades, would i able to fit them on my bike?Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostNo yaar, he said changes to the bike.... anyways, new graphics new colours or limited edition colours are not really impossible....Q4 is what he promised...
