IMO The limited edition Anhelo was probably a threat to the Pulsar series! Bringing it here would/could have meant
1) Doing more harm to Pulsar than others
2) Expose Bajaj of their wonderful servicing abilities

Spoke to Probiking guys Hyd. They have no clue about the exact release date. They were expecting the '08 model for around 1.9 lakhs showroom price (It was 3500 USD). The '09 model will be priced at 4000$ in the U.S. Now guess how much Bajaj can price it, even with minimum profit. Even though its coming as a CKD from Thailand (which means less duty compared to CBUs), don't you think they need to make some profit? So, IMO 2.3 lakhs ex-showroom sounds plausible.

But seriously, this thread should be renamed as 'Ninja250R speculation thread' !!
It seems noone is interested in any other bike !!!

I for one would like to know more bout the FI Zma too ....
but lets hope Ninja does come and come quick !! Also lets hope all this speculation also translates into good sales figures for the Ninja, coz then only we Indian bike enthusiasts will be able to present a good case for higher spec bikes to the bike manufacturers !! Amen ...

There are some rumors that Suzuki may launch CKDs next year in the range of 400-600cc(check my previous posts), for almost the same price as they sell abroad. The IBAYS showroom Manager at Hyd also was talking about one of the GSX series for around 4 lakhs! If that happens, I'm the first customer from Hyderabad.
