True bikers adapt to anything for sake of riding, though RTR is best for below 6ft people.
50kms. I am sorry but I must not be a true biker since I couldn't adopt myself for the RTR.

        • A salesman at planet bajaj(pune) said that they're going to launch a carb version of the 220,is this true or is it a rumor?

Releasing a carb version for an already successful Fi bike is like taking a step backwards. No company will do that, least of all BAJAJ and that too for their flagship product! Its always the other way round, first carb and then Fi.

I just dont get the reason that the 220 shud go carb just because the Ninja 250 being carb'ed. The Ninja is carb'ed to make it simpler and cut costs and also because its just a beginners/learners bike outside India. Just read reviews about it and u will understand! Learn to arrive at conclusions with some proper reasons.

And just under it "Mayawati slams ___________"

And how the hell have they used cuts from The Fast And The Furious 4? Some promotional gimmick??
                You get the point?? :D

Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

                  • Paid another visit to the Bajaj Probiking showroom today. No news of Ninja yet. I'm getting demotivated now. All they have to say is next month agenda is refreshed models of Pulsar series launching, so maybe Ninja in June. No info about pricing, specs etc. as usual.

                      • The Ninja will be a Euro spec. So it will not be a Carb version.
Moreover the 220 with carb will just be the 200 with fairing.

There was also a rumor about Yamaha R125 testing at ARAI.

Most probably there is a Tie up with the "Fast & The Furious 4" movie Launch in India...

Like the Yamaha Gladiator once had with Bourne Supremacy/Ultimatum (Can't exactly remember which one).

                            • Why can't there be a carb P220?

I guess it makes sense. A P220 without FI would come at the cost of a ZMA, would attract more people. A P220 without FI would have easier serviceability and would attract more people who stay away from that fearing the FI complications. A P220 without FI would be more attractive for people in non-metro markets because of lesser cost and for not having to rely on the PBK's in their state HQ's.

Ah, BTW, the R125 would not come to India - stated by the Yamaha India head in an interview. Also, it doesn't make sense to launch that in India... else Yamaha would have launched it straight without going to the drawing boards for the R15... may be with a vixion bore setup. An R125 has a much more peaky engine with less power than the R15 and has a lot more equippment than the R15 and hence costs a lot more than the R15.

Exactly, that is why there is this aircooled carb p200...........thats ultimate Pulsar experience at a lower price in form of a carb version...........Performance wise P220 and P200 r only as much different as a RTR160 and RTR160fi.
