There is a noticeable difference between them mate... either for a drag or for a high speed run, there is a clearly marked difference between their performance. The 200 is very torquey in lower RPM's and looses out on the top speed. The 220 matches the torque of the 200 and possibly the Fi acts up and it revvs up faster and has a better top speed too. The difference between these two is much more than that between RTR & RTR Fi.Originally posted by MACH50 View Post

I guess it makes sense. A P220 without FI would come at the cost of a ZMA, would attract more people. A P220 without FI would have easier serviceability and would attract more people who stay away from that fearing the FI complications. A P220 without FI would be more attractive for people in non-metro markets because of lesser cost and for not having to rely on the PBK's in their state HQ's.

Ah, BTW, the R125 would not come to India - stated by the Yamaha India head in an interview. Also, it doesn't make sense to launch that in India... else Yamaha would have launched it straight without going to the drawing boards for the R15... may be with a vixion bore setup. An R125 has a much more peaky engine with less power than the R15 and has a lot more equippment than the R15 and hence costs a lot more than the R15.
I was told that the mechs in the Bajaj 200 and above are weird! and really NEED oil cooler

Thats the Xtra 20cc at work in case of top seeds..............who travels at top speeds most of the time anyway? I rode both bikes that belongs to my frnds,Pulsar's midrange torque, upper rev range vibrations were similar in both the P200 and P220.P220 gave ease of riding and engine smoothness at high speeds which was evidently lower in P200.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostThere is a noticeable difference between them mate... either for a drag or for a high speed run, there is a clearly marked difference between their performance. Very similar is the case of RTR160 and RTRFi version. The Fi is very smooth and posts higher top speeds than the stock carb, though bcoz of same cc not much higher unlike Pulsars.Hell's Angel

went to th probiking showroom in gurgaon yesterday, the sales guy told me he had confirmed news of the Ninja arriving in the first week of May. price 1.9 - 2.25 lacs.
He also confirmed on a new look P220 in May.
Wonder how true this is. But let's wait and watch again.

Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

First it was Mid April. Now it is beginning May. And before you know it, the year will be out. Then we will have a new thread wherein we will begin speculating about the bikes coming in 2010. And we will be again doing the same thing... with the same bikes!!!Originally posted by dushyant View Postwent to th probiking showroom in gurgaon yesterday, the sales guy told me he had confirmed news of the Ninja arriving in the first week of May. price 1.9 - 2.25 lacs.

I feel that "Release in December" news was all a hearsay/ rumour ... Mr. Bajaj said that it would come in May '09, so let "May" come, right?Originally posted by ken cool View PostFirst it was Mid April. Now it is beginning May. It's not far away. In around 25-30 days we shall have an answer. BTW I have no idea about the April news.
Personally, I think this time they'll release it ... "Personally"
