This recent news of r125 launch in India, I think its baloney. I wonder why Yamaha would do that. If it is a CBU import, it would be too expensive. If it is developed in India for India, they already have the R15. But stranger things have happened.

hey guyz I am back in this thread, with another speculation
Yamaha Pro Riders are testing R-125 at Noida expressway(so many people saw them riding a BiG bike with fairing like R-15 and tyres like FZ-16 )

and yamaha is ready to roll out this machine very soon

i think i saw the bike at a showroom at the wakadewadi showroom here in pune, it was not in the display but was stranded behind the main entrance steps/slope (people in pune would know what i am talkin). it was like fz's back in r15 so i did not pay much attention as i thought someone would have modified it. it was blue similar to r15.

If I am correct, than currently there is a ALL-YELLOW FZ standing in wakdewadi showroom with "NOT FOR SALE" written on it....!

Guys,something big is certainly coming from Yamaha thats for sure.My dealer friend also told that another new fz is definately coming with additionals like double discs,new front fairing,fi(not much sure).According to him this new fz would fill up the gap between fz and R15,thus it may be possible that fairing may be close to that of r15.Lets hope for the best.Comeon Yamaha,just kill the competition

For me & many of us, "BIG" is supposed to be FZ1 (which was in final stages of hoimologation) and FZ6 ...

FZ250 is "acceptably" big. ok?

But, what you say is that it bridges the gap between R15 & FZ 16. Means less powerful than R15 ...? So, what's so big about it?

Comeon yar,give Yamaha atleast some more time.I am sure they would have planned something big for the auto expo 2010.I meant by killing of the competition it may face by likes of a180,new pulsar series,new honda150 on line.Dont you think that something close to having the best of both r15 and fz with power range something similar to p200 would be enough for the competition

thats what i heard from the yam dealers in Bangalore also. its a new FZ with 250cc mill.

@samarth: for me, when i look at these litre bikes in India, it feels like caged 'ghost and the darkness'. if you know what i mean.
so yes, FZ1 is what you call a big bike. alrite. but a good 250cc bike with a resonable price tag and which stands a step ahead of zma is what i would call as a good and big move by yammies.
and this is something i am looking forward to as my next buy and to dump my present 180ug3.
