Secondly, coming to your point of Ninja..they said they are launching 250cc with 33bhp...thats why all the talks were going on so much...on the other hand if they would have said that they would be launching 250cc with 15bhp, then i can BET no one would have talked abt it also..

Thirdly, abt your point of "All this which company to bring on the first 250 cc bike talk is pretty irritating at times!" ppl were simply kidding here and making fun...so why are you taking it seriously..!!
No No saar... what I meant was that is it the CC that we are expecting... I mean right now we have access to brilliant handlers like the R15.... crazy bikes like the RTR ... is it really a race for the cc?

I think what we need is good world class bikes.... R15 by and far is the only one in our market... and thankfully it has made a brilliant beginning ...

Give me a bike that handles like the R15 delivers speed like the RTR oh and a max out on 160KMPH would be a cherry on top... oh and I dont care if it were 125CC .... and I(and i know many more) would be more happy...

We are just in illusion by the thoughts of 250CC !

You can't expect such features from a mere 125cc bike..be practical yaar..!!

Even if you start boring it...then also you wont end with those features..!!

So, all these features (if required) are to factory fitted..to derive best results..

      • Just saw the pics of the new FZ. Point for TVS to ponder I am sure. It seems (at least thats what Ive read on xbhp) that they didnt change the looks of the Menace as it wouldve hiked the price of the bike in these recessionary times. And here we have Yamaha laughing away to the bank with the roaring success of the FZ (& R15). I will admit when I saw the FZS, I thought to myself, no ways will people pay even more money for an underpowered & unjustifiably (except for the looks) expensive 150cc bike with new colour schemes & a mini fairing. And all around me I see more and more FZS's. Im willing to bet people will buy this (FZ-R?) even if it is Zma territory cause the Zma looks old.

Might be OT: I just read a post on how HH should check xBhp. We (well most of us) crap all over HH for giving us the same bikes with a splash of red here & some stickering over there & not giving us what we want. But have any of you seen the figures they are posting ? They are mauling the competition. And I really mean mauling. TVS & Bajaj are so far back it isnt even funny. Suzuki & Yamaha are but specks on the horizon. We enthusiasts might moan the lack of performance bikes but the fact is we are a minority. The sales figures dont lie. After all at the end of the day, its only business. And that ladies & gentlemen is why I dont think HH will ever be proactive in giving us performance bikes & why we shouldnt speculate on it. They dont need to.

Looks like p180 and p200 is getting the stick really hard this time.Bcoz ZMA is established player and RTR180 is for racers and R15 lovers.P220 is safe bcoz it counts all on perfo.
But the stylist p180 and p200(with p220 visor) is in trouble.

Though, the diff looks to me in lines of FZ1000 fairing and non fairing version.............I doubt whether it will have any power hike at all.
Best deal probably 165ccfi engine from Glad sports concept.

                • hey guys.. just a thought,

if this is the same old mill then why test it so extensively or even test it?? i mean they did not test the fz-s like this...(or we did not have the pics of it being tested ) i feel its like add a fairing, check the wind drag (which can be done in their wind tunnel) and check for the turning radius an some other stuff which can very well be done in closed surroundings. i think they are testing it as extensively as the fz-16 prior to its launch. now the only question is why??

i may not be correct but just give a thought on these lines.

                  • Small for India, Big for the world

                    Guys

                    Great looking FZ with fairings.
It seems Yamaha is bringing into India Made for India versions of its International brands. First the R15 derived from the R1, then the FZ 16 derived from FZ1, now this new bike looks like the Fazer 1000.
So what if other companies follow.

Honda brings out th CBR150R, a CBF150/200, a CB150R maybe even a Goldwing Tourer 150 then Suzuki then Kawasaki, then KTM then Ducati (probably not)
What others will Yamaha bring?? XJR250??TDM 150??? MT 150...
                    the possibilities are endless....

                      • Hey guys the COMET has been relaunched by mahindra,at an ex-showroom price of 160K

IMO the cost is acceptable for a twin-cylindered bike with 28 odd horses

So this is the only potential competition to the ninja?and will there be any takers for the comet now considering the pathetic service the previous comet owners faced?

This site has been untouched since the days of Kinetic as an independent company. And looks like it hasn't been changed after the acquisition too.
So I don't think anything's happening on Comet's front is there in near future.

                          • But the aquila and the comet were launched at the same time and both were limited editions,if the site had been left untouched the aquila would also be listed, but the aquila page say's that its been discontinued

                            • As far as I remember Aquila was launched before Comet.
Comet was available till early Jan 2006 and Aquila wasn't available at that time.
So may be the last update to the site was in that time only.

Also I heard that Kinetic has officially broken ties with Hyosung recently which is why Kinetic isn't providing new spare parts and selling out whichever remaining with them at a cheaper cost.
