A friend of mine went to HH showroom to buy a new Karizma in exchange with his old bike. There's a man who takes the old bikes and gives its amount to the showroom. He told my frnd "why are you wasting so many bucks on this old 220 machine. Wait for 15-20 days, honda is launching CBR150. It will be a good VFM"

According to him, the price tag would be around 90K someting.

My frnd told, that man has contacts in honda as well.

AFAIK: Honda DID bring the CBR150 to India, but what I was told is that they didnt pass the homoglation test in stock form.... so no CBR150 here...

Now would they detune it like hell and give us the same bike which is available to the rest of the world?

As far as I remember CB1000R launched in India also has same handle ... sad.

^ CB 300R is not a strip from MotoGP, this is a street machine ...

Clip Ons may look good, but mostly they reduce the turning input required & control (they bring the handlebars closer) ... & hence, they are not preferred for street machines & slow conditions...

Surely, some aftermarket ones from KRP or Yamaha, might get the job done ... albeit with some adjustments...

My news is from a direct source, so I can believe it.... especially since he ends up taking all my battering about HMSI being in India only for the money and nothing else.... and I worry (infact i would be happy) if someday he bashes me up and shows a new Honda for India and say "LOOK THIS IS WHAT WE WERE MAKING FOR YOU!"

I upgraded from a P180 Classic to a P220! Wasn't too tough for me. And I am sitting pretty on it. Ninja is speculation for the moment.

Hey Guys i got some Good news from my Source at the Hero Honda factory . the most awaited bike in Indian history The KARIZMA Upgrade is ready .
he says it got
one projector light
Semi-faired
Led Backlight
Digi-speedo
It will have air-cooled 250cc engine with Fi and Over 21Hp at least
It will be torquey with City Riding in mind and will have power at low rpms
Price will be Under 1 lakh showroom to counter r15 mania
cureently they are working on its Final looks and cost cutting measures to make it into production . It may nor may not be called a Zma .

He also said that Zma will get some Changes to Make it Cheaper and it will be priced 2-4k less than current model

So can we expect the Fi version before the Autoexpo ...... n that person can either be in a very good position in HH or he might be a soothsayer .....

Add DOHC,PGM-Fi,4-valve,Oil is cooled.

Coming on to the bike.It shares a lot of parts with the Indian HH bikes.The front disk(276mm) is from Karizma, the rear brake lever is of Hunk,clutch & brake levers are from Karizma, footpegs are of Karizma, the petrol filler cap is of Passion, the rear swingarm looks like that of Karizma(I might be wrong here),one of the side panels looks similar to Stunner.

But then also it might not come to India .....

also what do you guys think about the XRE300..??

Single cylinder, 300cc, DOHC, fuel injected cousin of CB300R (and is probably being introduced simultaneously in Brazil along with the CB300R).

any takers for it in India..??

dude i guess you are not aware of the conditions well in india people dont take a car with the ABS so why they would take ABS with the bike common mani think you need some improvement or should grow up. Tell me one thing that if people are not buying cars with the ABS so why they would buy it in bike n if they wont buy it then how could TVS can think of it??

We need to look at the positive sides also...... they are getting the options...... if the sales are really that low then why the manufacturers are keeping the tech in production...... our 4-wheeler industry saw a big boom within a very short span of time....... but when it comes to 2-wheeler the pace becomes very slow....... Dont ask me why ......

Dude be practical people in india or in any developing nation dont buy generaly expensive things though i also know the benefits of the ABS but dude if you see on the whole you will find cars without abs just go outside in the real world and have a look around you you will find cars without ABS (no offense)

dude i got your point, but what i am trying to say is that manufacturers should bring ABS in india in a way similar to disc brakes..... it will take time but once people understand its importance they won't hesitate to shell that extra amount.

So many rumours. So many variants. So many inputs. But nothing concrete.

But are we here for a bluff by brands? We might be again stuffed with a 130/140/150/160/170/180 cc bike with some hyper-techno-gimickery (parden by English) with matching performance already available with the current lot of bikes. For a poser and a first time performance enthusiast, they may offer a good alternative (to what is being sold currently). But what about long-timers grey-haired old chaps.

Why shouldn't this be made clear to all Brands that the current lot of bikers would not upgrade to their new offerings untill and unless it has at least 250+ cc 25+ PS (single or double cylinder, air or liquid cooled, FI or carb, mono or twin shocks, or whatever), Untill then, don't consider us as your prospective customer. I have adopted a similar approach so far.

This would put full stop on their approach of counting upon us, the current enthusiat bikers, for selling lesser products in the name of performance bikes.

Just my cent.
