    Friends,

This is my 1st post. I have been following this thread from the begining and am surprised to so see the no. of posts added everyday . After reading in last weeks post about the new Ninja's arrival in Pune PBK for display, I decided to go there on Saturday and as expected there was no Ninja there . When enquired, as usual got the response saying it will be launched in Sept'09 (i don't believe it seeing their past record). Also they infomed that 2 weeks back they did the survey for the color of the bike which people would like to have. I told them bring it in any color... but bring it fast. Also the person wrote my name in one of the registers of Ninja fan and I was 25th !!!!!!!!!!!!!

When enquired about the P220 upgrade, he said it is expected after 15th June'09.

I mean, we know there is a market for cruisers in India (Royal Enfield has shown that )
And, cruiser fan are generally not that demanding for regular updates and BHP bumps. Give them a good enuff product and they'll keep buying it for years !! (Again Royal Enfield has shown that !!)

The Bajaj test riders were testing it extensively on Pune's roads. But the bike [footpegs]starting vibrating from 500 kms onwards. The mirrors started vibrating after 550 kms. There was some problem with the fuel injection unit.It caught fire!! That was replaced. After that the silencer mounting points broke and it fell on the road. They had to carry it in a tempo. The other bikes were also facing similar problems. The speedo unit went haywire after 700 kms. The needle was showing 200 kmph at standstill. The bike couldn't start the next morning. There was some electrical fault. I don't know whether any more problems they faced.

Now the Bajaj guys have ordered the parts from Japan. When the parts arrive, they will start selling the bike.
    Btw i own a first gen 220.

So many rumours. So many variants. So many inputs. But nothing concrete.

But are we here for a bluff by brands? We might be again stuffed with a 130/140/150/160/170/180 cc bike with some hyper-techno-gimickery (parden by English) with matching performance already available with the current lot of bikes. For a poser and a first time performance enthusiast, they may offer a good alternative (to what is being sold currently). But what about long-timers grey-haired old chaps.

Why shouldn't this be made clear to all Brands that the current lot of bikers would not upgrade to their new offerings untill and unless it has at least 250+ cc 25+ PS (single or double cylinder, air or liquid cooled, FI or carb, mono or twin shocks, or whatever), Untill then, don't consider us as your prospective customer. I have adopted a similar approach so far.

This would put full stop on their approach of counting upon us, the current enthusiat bikers, for selling lesser products in the name of performance bikes.

    Just my cent.

Hey wait, did'nt anyone hear about it already? Come on guys, you can't be this slow.....

Why is'nt the Ninja launching? I'll tell you. Its taking the Bajaj guys some serious head scratching to remove the engines from the Ninjas already imported (remember spy pics?) and bolt them onto the 220 chassis.
Viola! You have the Fastest Pulsar! Beats everything else sold in India....

But enough of bullshit. Anybody have friends/family who own Honda showrooms? Any chance of sneak preview of the 'new' 150?
