Re: A little help needed from non religious riders.
You, sir, do not even have the slightest idea how much that video has taught me. I was doing a lot of things wrong.Originally posted by shv18 View PostBesides the wonderful information put up by xbhp team, you may also consider understanding how a motorcycle works and the science of cornering, braking and in the due process help yourself to become a better rider by following this cornering bible: Keith Code's Twist of the Wrist video:
I am pretty sure this video will help you heighten your senses to a new level. Sometimes such unfortunate incidents do happen but that shouldn't stop you from riding.

Cheers,
Thanks a ton.
And if anyone else can suggest more such videos, that'd be highly appreciated too.

Super-Like !!!... Riding @40 kmph (slower) on open roads/highways to reconnect with motorcycle [and to enhance motorcycling skills].Originally posted by Backbencher View Post...
My advice to you is drive @40 km/hr in open roads and reconnect with your babe . Its like the run in phase where you'll regather the important aspects in your bike and brake better .
Ideally you're supposed to inhibit speeding urge and lean towards gathering & processing sensory inputs whilst assimilating motorcycling faculties. This is necessary despite decades of riding experience under one's belt.Originally posted by MarkNS View Post...
I followed your advice about open roads. Took a friend, went for a 250km run on the highway and did a proper ride at around 80-90 kmph...
Doesn't brain rewiring/reinforcing work better at slower speeds?
Everything else is just probable.Last edited by SparKot; 10-26-2014, 08:22 PM.There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa

Re: A little help needed from non religious riders.
Dude.. its nothing to take too personal.
Its just a another bad day, may be in your case u had 3 bad days
its totally rubbish to sell the bike or give up riding, everyone has got different opinions and the advice is the only thing you will get free of cost
Just take it light.. put your bike for hold someday. maybe it may require little rest too
now you are totally in a confused state by hearing lots of opinions and suggestions, i suggest not to ride in this mind state... if so, you will start to match everything related to bike
its nothing to do with the bike. if you really love your bike and passion of riding. don't take such decisions, i would suggest to just put pass for everything.. refresh your mind for a week, don't ride, join your friends, freak out, enjoy and take your bike for a ride
Have a nice day pal..
Thanks

Re: A little help needed from non religious riders.
For any biker, Judgement is key criteria in any given situation. It comes with more and more riding. Like moderater suggested, be aware of your surroundings while riding. i really dont know how to explain it here. I always keep in mind the riding conditions, what my bike can do, what others are doing, the distance between me and the nearest vehicle, the abilities of my bike in terms of braking or power needed in overtaking situations etc.
Try to maintain a safe distance if possible so that you have those tiny seconds and space to take evasive action.Everybody has their own version of TRUTH!!!!!!
