There are too many things which are annoying while commuting or generally riding around the city. Can't list out all those number of things.

Yet we face all those annoying things and still love riding our bikes.

Stop focussing on the negative around you and focus your energies on the positive. As the very old saying goes - "Smile and the world will smile with you". You can't change the world but you can change yourself.

Commuting in India is like playing temple run ,subway surf etc.

Ride little slow and everybody from the behind will push you out of the road .
Ride little fast everything suddenly jumps in front of you .

The biggest headache of all is the vehicles which doesn't allow you to wait at signals (if there is no cop then jump it policy ) and people crossing in opposite when its your turn at signal .

And so on .
After experiencing so much I have made up to reduce commuting distance as far as possible and waiting to move out of the country soon

most annoying i found those vehicles which shoot high beam right into the eyes ,,as if they have pleasure in making u jump over a speed breaker in their headlight glare.....

Most annoying experience I dealt with is sand dunes put by people/PWD , I was on my bike doing 45Kmh a bus came from opposite direction & due to road not being wide enough I was forced to move to corner of road & to my bad luck that same spot had a sand spread on road ,I had no other option but to do a controlled crash on that sand dune other wise take chances to get hit by a roadways bus ,I took the first option & went into the sand dune while trying to break as much i could without skidding my tires but the sand made it sure to skid my front wheel & I fell face first on the road but was lucky enough that i used to have a full face brand new helmet those days (now I have ninza open face ) so it saved my from breaking my jaw or any teeth .
I was shocked for few sec then checked my self & bike for any breakage luckily bike fell over the sand dune so only some minor scratches on indicator . I was so pissed on the people who put that sand heap that would have thrashed one if had there been any one of them present .

There are many and endless enemy on Indian roads for us, most annoying thing is people keep honking behind you whether you are on their way or not they only want to make sound pollution

if you think about it, you will be angry, and anger is bad. so plz ignore it and enjoy ride.

Well I think the most annoying thing is when someone on the extreme left or right of the road, stopped at a traffic light just blindly tries to turn in the opposite direction with complete disregard for other vehicles wanting to go straight. This for some reason is mostly done by busses and autos. Bikers are always trying to cut that way but they are less of a nuisance thanx to the size of their vehicle (but a nuisance all the same). And I am sure that all of us have hit or almost hit a guy trying to jump the signal at a crossroad from our right or left side lanes.
These are the bastards that give other responsible citizens a bad name.
And [MENTION=36750]itsmevini123[/MENTION] bro, we have a term for that. Its "horn diarrhoea".

1. People driving on high beam
2. Spitting/throwing banana skin/plastic water bottles on the road.
3. Turning without using turn signal indicators.
4. Pedestrians crossing the roads while looking for traffic in the opposite direction to the incoming traffic.
5. Bus drivers,they drive like they own the road
6. Female drivers/riders, very unpredictable
7. Cows
8. auto and cycle rickshaws
9. Unmarked spine breaking speed breakers/rumbling strips
10. Loud air horns
11. Vehicles parked on the road.
12. Potholes
13. Lane cutting without checking RVMs
14. Unnecessary honking even if there is no space for them to pass.
15. Loud FFE and bullet exhausts

And many more, list will surely cross 100 if i keep writing.

Not a hundred but the list will just endlessly go on and on until we just give up and accept the cold hard truth that we the few rule following civilized Indians live in a country full of uncultured, uncivilized morons.
Instead of ranting or listing lets get together and promote better road etiquette. What say?

I have faced many problems and one of the most annoying moments anyone could ever face is listening to songs and not responding to our horns and flashes.. Once I was on my way to office.. it is a 4 lane road.. the bus stops on the extreme left, an Auto behind the Bus trying to overtake stopping the car coming behind and a 2 wheeler who was behind the car decides to overtake without any indication.. I slow down to let him pass.. now the auto, car and the 2 wheeler pick up speed and move at the same speed.. Me behind the 2 wheeler waiting for him to give me way and he doesn't. I honked once, no response.. then honked again, no response. I finally find a gap for me to go through.. I go ahead of him and find him with earphones.. I turn back stuck the middle finger at his face and move on..

There have been times when a person going in a bus suddenly decide to barf outside that small window... the worst thing is, you are on the side they are barfing.. Though it isn't their fault.. it is quite annoying and disgusting..

the next is the Pan Masala.. Yuck.. not only it stinks, it spoils the dress we are wearing.. Silly people..

During rain, the cars, buses, trucks, autos blah blah.. hell even the 2 wheels don't give a FAQ about the pedestrians.. They just shed and splash the stagnated water on their face and clothes.. I take a precaution to slow down whenever I see some people walking near the stagnated water.. though we are cautious, the other fools behind the wheels decide to get me dirty by going zooom over the water.. Most annoying thing for me is the selfishness of any motorists on roads. Seems like everybody is in a hurry!!! Classic example is @ railway crossings. Phew you can only stare. Another thing is when an accident happens. Even if its not your fault they try to mint money from you. No wonder- nobody stops and just runaway. And the opposite also, when you are the receiving end of an accident. The one who caused the accident tries to make the run for the money and not worry about what happened to you or your bike. In short, i get annoyed by the mentality of people here in India.

Some points from my side...

1. I promptly stop and wait at signal. When i get green, suddenly a bunch of dumb people start crossing the road !

2. On a double road with median, if there are large plants/bushes/trees on separating median, you can any time expect people appearing suddenly from median in front you !!

3. A big car/SUV fellow driving slowly (or may be learning !) on right most lane !

4. Bad/dumb guys riding triples on some modified bike/scooter in wrong direction. This is quite common in Bangalore !

5. A public transport bus moving on right lane suddenly moves to left lane without using indicators, because of a bus stop to the left !

6. Any time turning, stopping, speeding of auto rickshaws

7. Using slang and abusive language at traffic signals/stops. This thing in particular irritates me a lot.

As others said, this list is endless

I recently met with an accident because of a careless driver.. I was on highways.. at pretty high speed.. this idiot decides to take a U turn and cross the road immediately without looking to the left for any oncoming vehicle..

i crashed (applied brakes to max) on his car getting my right index finger cut badly.. That idiot comes out and starts bashing on me as if it was my fault.. I figured out there is no point arguing with that idiot. A mechanic nearby took me to a clinic (savior angel in disguise)

That driver wasn't ready to take me to the hospital even after seeing my heavily bleeding finger.. instead, he decides to argue saying the damage my bike did to his car will make him shed more money than what happened to my finger.. he said it will just cost you (me) 100/- to visit the doctor and get the injury checked but for him, he will have to spend 4000 to fix his car..

I was happy my bike caused so much of damage to his car and my bike took minimum damage

I am safe and sound though the wound is still healing (90% healed and riding without my riding gloves)
