        @ praful..

If ur riding on NH17..from Kasargod-Bhatkal..my advice to you is Keep 100 Meters away from these Private Buses..be prepared to break hard when ur following a BUS ( at any point).. and get off the road when u see a on comming bus overtaking..

        Ride safe...

thanks mate...yes indeed the local guys are unusually immune to such situations but then they do have to repent later also....the doctors at Kasturba Hospital confirmed that accidents are very very frequent in this stretch
You can take the ride away from me but you cannot take the rider out of my soul.........

sad to hear about your accident , but it is a good thing that you were wearing proper riding gear. In fact I rarely anyone wearing even a helmet in Manipal(from 04-08). I know how people ride/drive in Manipal and Udupi.

welcome to karnataka and hit by an RX100, karnataka police is most corrupt i got my way through without papers one by paying 100 bucks bribe, imagine about a terrorist

Pillion does not need a helmet, its not compulsor, and yeah ppl do cross in between like the way u say buddy they do. I feel they think its macho with racing a bike (my FZ) even if its in run in period, same with cab drives and to my shock even buses :S

Besides that no one cares to remove 10 yr old buses from roads and CNG for pollution and north indians etc are blamed for warming Karnataka .

Only thing is that you are safe, thank god for that.

I never felt buying gear back at Delhi, but at karnataka i feel the need so much.
