I am planning a bike trip from Pune to Bangalore 2 weeks from now on my Bajaj Dominar. I am visiting Bangalore for some work so just thought why not cover everything in my bike. I have done short trips until now and this will be my biggest trip (~1900 kms). So, just wanted an advice on what all things should I keep in mind or in my checklist in order to avoid problems that occur in big road trips (in person and in bike). My bike is 15 months old and it's a 3 day visit.

Check all the aspects carefully Engine-Oil, Tyre pressure, Brake-Pads, Chain slack etc. Don't service your bike a day or couple of days before leaving. I would recommend a minimum of a week of service before you start so that you can iron out some niggles if you face any after service.
- All The Gear All The Time. Period
- Don't try to rush and cover distances by pushing yourself. Feeling tired-Take a break. Feeling Sleepy- Take a longer break. I would recommend taking break every hour irrespective of distance covered.
- Have a proper Helmet which can reduce wind noise, can use ear buds or cotton which may minimize wind noise to certain extent.
- Have a standard toolkit with you packed along with a Spare Key.
- Leave early, don't rely on night riding.
- Keep a chain lube along with you. re-lube your chain after every 500kms.
- Keep speed which you are confident with.
Enjoy the roads, don't think much about destination. You will eventually reach. Ride Safe!!BLR-RAMESWARAM-KODIAKANAL-BLR http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/3...ing-hills.html

Re: Pune ' Bangalore on a Dominar
If you have serviced the bike on time, you wont have any problems. When was the last oil change done? Take the originals with you. Since the bike is quite new, I dont think you will need to worry about anything else. But yes, keep an eye on the sprockets getting dry. Check the brake pads and tire condition.Originally posted by Samarth216 View PostHello Everyone,

Thanks for the reply. Oil change was done in 3rd service back in June. Currently my bike has run 6.6k Kms. I'm not sure whether I should get the bike serviced once again or not.

Also, Keep all the fuel receipts with you, especially the ones which you fill up in MH. If cops catch you in KA and demand NOC you can show them that.Originally posted by Samarth216 View PostHi,
